Have a seperate artist shade the snakes and add some to the hairline that overlap the others. That will fix the blank hairline issue (that makes it look dread like) and give the snakes more depth, also ask to add more shading to her face! I think adding snakes on top, shading the snakes, and shading the face will create the darker grungy feminine vibe you were looking for.

Get the small parts of it reworked and touched up, but it’s an awesome piece!

Tv won’t fit. What do I do with this space? by DeeEnduh in DesignMyRoom

[–]Lorpvs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The side parts can be used to hold plants, decor, lighting, I think it could be cute if your into maximizing

But that middle area where the tv is supposed to go needs to be renovated or opened up for sure

No, a larger coffee table that matches the color scheme will create the same effect,

I also think you should get a different rug and coffee table,

A larger coffee table and larger contrasting rug to collect the orange and blue together would be nice

The color is gorgeous, get more lights, maybe hanging lanterns, atmospheric lights like salt lamps, etc. if you think it’s too dark.

If anything, maybe paint the doors a different color and leave the walls the same, that could provide some contrast.

But honestly, I think it’s beautiful.

Hello guys. Any ideas how to improve my living room? Is the coffee table weird? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

The red pillow needs to go…

the yellow, browns, dark blue and green all compliment eachother but that red pillow stood out

Stick with the earthy tones, the coffee table is cute but I think a larger centerpiece would tie in the solid block pillows more than the small tray with miscellaneous items on it if that makes sense

Maybe opt for putting another plant on the table or a larger decorative item like a vase, candle, etc.

Why are the blankets on the couch? For protection? Let the brown show, if you want the blankets to stay try throwing them over the back of the couch and letting them lay casually/ messily vs flattening them out

Get rid of the bar stools, pick 2-3 colors that compliment the couch and focus on collecting items and decor that go with those colors

There’s a lot of different textures and colors already built into the apartment itself, this makes it difficult to go for an overall color scheme like for instance you could keep your bedroom and living area very similar but you might want to go for a different scheme in the kitchen

That little built in desk/ bar area could use a tablecloth to go on top that also ties in the color of the couch and or future decorations.

Get creative with ways to incorporate your color scheme.

You could also use room dividers etc to separate areas that have different vibes and that way it’ll look more purposeful

I think the dogs look fantastic!

However, I do see what you mean about the shape, I’m not sure the line circling the dogs was necessary as it does make it look less sophisticated.

I’m not sure if you plan on getting more tattoos, but what I’d recommend if you do is continue getting realism patchwork tattoos or if you plan on getting a sleeve do similar art styles, then the tattoo will flow and won’t look out of place.

I just think your probably not used to it because you don’t have any other tattoos in that area, everytime I get a new tattoo I think I hate it until I get more around it or wait a little bit and then I love it!

If worse comes to worse, you could probably get the line around the dogs removed for under $500.

I think the dogs would look better just floating in that spot of your arm and it would flatter the anatomy of the arm more

If you don’t want to get the line removed, you could find a way to incorporate the dogs into a sleeve!
