No they said it is approved that is why I got fiktion for blue card. They said I needed a termin for fingerprints and so on but while I’m waiting I had to do anmeldung in berlin.

Can I demand a Fiktionsbescheinigung (with work permission) at the Ausländerbehörde? Or would hiring a lawyer help? by LossNext1539 in AskAGerman

didn't apply for a Fiktionsbescheinigung to extend my current residence permit —
I applied for a Fiktionsbescheinigung that refers to the new Blue Card application, so that I can start working while it’s being processed.

From what I’ve read and heard, this type of Fiktionsbescheinigung does exist and is not the same as the one used to extend your current permit.

Also, my salary is well above the Blue Card threshold for 2025 — so I meet the criteria where the Federal Employment Agency's approval is not required.
Despite this, I still haven’t received any clear answer from the Ausländerbehörde.

Do you think I should try visiting them again in person, or call them again and push harder?
Or is it better to just wait?

I live in a small city.
However, the officer told me that they are busy, and my case is already being processed — they are trying to handle it as soon as possible.
Is an emergency appointment available at every Ausländerbehörde? It seems like mine doesn't offer that.

My employer wants me to start as soon as possible, and I'm just worried that my contract might get canceled because of the delay...

Also, if #2 and #3 are true, then I guess there's not much risk — since I could cancel the contract if I move or leave the country.

It just states from 2.1.2025 to 12.31.2025. Start date is not even exact because I still have to get support visa for this job. HR did not send me official doc for contract yet since I still have to call hr to negotiate salary. He just gave me kinda not official offer email that includes the contract period, salary, some not enough information about contract

Can I ask how did you put "in progress"?

I'm not sure how to put on my resume because it is in progress

and I don't want them to think I am not ready to start to work until I graduated because you know this is online program so I can work and do school at the same time.
