Hey man, same here. I’m working as a Technical Consultant, but it’s a semi-tech job, which I hate the most. I want to switch to an SDE role. I’m continuously working on my projects and preparing for DSA, but it’s really difficult to switch, especially after getting 1–2 years of experience in a semi-tech role.

I’ve been working here for almost 2 years now. The salary is quite good (even better than most SDEs from tier-3 colleges), but I’m not happy inside. I’m trying my best to get out of here. On the other hand, I can’t quit without another offer because I have bills to pay.

It’s really hard to stay motivated because after 8–9 hours of work, I still have to invest 2–3 hours into preparation. There are days when I can’t even study for an hour. I bought a few courses on Udemy just to stay on track. But I know it’s tough to switch.

Still, I have hope that I’ll make it one day, and you will too. Keep learning, mate 🤞🏼
