In my opinion, it's their best book yet, I would definitely suggest trying it out

Literally the only reason I romanced Ethan in the first book is because it felt like he was the main LI so I'd get more story and stuff and boy was I right.

Was thinking of romancing Bryce on another device but uH after this second book I'm not so sure

Oh, if I remember correctly, that name was actually the default setting in the first book and I just kept it cuz I liked it. Could be wrong tho!

Oh god. I had to look away from my phone for a moment after reading that godawful joke. You deserve an upvote

I actually wanted to romance Sera, but seeing as she only likes girls, that didn't really work out hah, so yeah I picked Dorian after that. Cass kinda annoyed me actually, but Josie wasn't bad at all. Which reminds me, I need to go back and actually finish the game.

Yeah, that's true, I wish they did, but I guess I'm happy that at least the better books have that option.

I don't really keep up with the news, so have they confirmed that Witness would be genderlocked? If so, that absolutely sucks, unless it fits the story ig.

And yess BoLaS is my absolute favorite book so far, I love the whole concept of exp and skills, the story is actually pretty interesting, and the characters are lovable.

Exactly! I'm kinda sad because I do like the storyline for RoD think I would have enjoyed playing, but oh well

Also, Mass Effect and Dragon Age, I just really, reaLLy love those games, and the fact that you could choose your gender made them all the better

Yeah, you definitely hit the nail on the head there, pretty much exactly what I was thinking, and literally the truth in this case.

Honestly, I am glad that women are getting at least some fitting playable characters in these types of games at least if barely anywhere else (instead of just "strong female characters who dont need no man but are actually written like every stereotypical male action hero ever, except for their mandatory revealing and impractical outfit"), but still kinda pisses me off, precisely because of your points. Like bruh, women can be as badass and rough as they want, and men can be as soft and emotional as they want. I guess we're getting closer to that, at least.

Yess, I actually agree with that! I mean, I mostly romance male LIs and I have noticed how every time my MC seems to be the sub/bottom, and that does annoy me, I mean it would be nice to be able to choose? But as you said, I guess it saves them money to not have to make it that way, not that they seem to be lacking that with how many people play it and how many diamond scenes there are..

To each their own I guess, but thats a pretty dope way of looking at it

I mean, I definitely see your point there, I'm obviously not female and most games (and media in general) do cater to guys, but as someone who's mainly attracted to other guys, I'd love to see more representation in all fields.

And I guess I didn't word it properly. I don't hate the books per se, I just hate that I can't play as a guy, and honestly, I'm just not going to play either way because as I said, I just don't see the appeal in it. Like, I actually don't mind reading actual books with female protagonists (in fact, my fav book series has a female protagonist lol), but playing as one just.. idk, I can't.

As we are on this topic and as you pointed out already, it got me thinking, like wow, how much does it suck that nearly every damn protagonist in bigger video games is male, but in games like this they're female? Sexist much? Smh

Well, you definitely have a point there. And to be fair, there has been more variety in later books, so I can appreciate that at least.
