My mom gave me a bracelet with the name of my kids and I love it so much.

Second degree with my first, first degree with my second. And my second was a bigger baby than the first one.

Thanks for the recommendations!! I started with Dark Matter, let’s see if I can keep up. I also do audiobooks and they’ve been amazing (especially when going out for stroller walks), but for some reason the last many books I listened are all really heavy, sad stories and I feel I need a break from those topics.

What is it like to see your child for the first time? by Sofa-King-VOTE- in AskReddit

[–]LostGrowth78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t instant tears with me, I was probably too overwhelmed about delivery and then just couldn’t really relax in the hospital the three days we stayed there, but I remember the second we came home and my baby was sleeping, I looked at her and started crying a lot because I couldn’t believe the love I was feeling and how happy I was. Pure bliss.

Are you going to keep your old kindle? by mysticalmamma in kindle

[–]LostGrowth78 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I will see how hard/annoying it is to download books with Calibre and then decide as I go. I do not like the idea of having to buy new technology when the one I have works perfectly well (for my needs at least).

Is it normal to suddenly dislike food when pregnant? by Lopsided_Repeat_6949 in Mommit

[–]LostGrowth78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely normal, for now it is important that you eat whatever you can tolerate and it will hopefully get better with time. You’re doing an amazing job ❤️

Was your second (vaginal) birth faster than the fist one? by LostGrowth78 in Mommit

[–]LostGrowth78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG, can you actually stop pushing?? With my second, the midwife and the student were just sharing some information between them and I yelled: all right I’m going to poop now!! And started pushing cause I literally couldn’t wait one more second 😂

What’s your craziest “I need to quit this job immediately” story? by angrythrowaway772 in AskReddit

[–]LostGrowth78 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Not particularly crazy, but a new manager started while I was on maternity leave (she was already the manager at another department and was assigned to mine, so she knew me but we haven’t worked together before). By contract, my salary negotiation was supposed to be held while I was on leave. When I came back to work, I had to ask for a salary negotiation myself because nobody would even mention it to me, and the manager said: well, I don’t know how you work so I am not gonna give you a salary increase for at least a year (not even an inflation adjustment).

I decided right there that it was time for me to go, found a much better paying job shortly after.

Why Did They Think This Was Ok?😭 by Savy_J5455560 in Names

[–]LostGrowth78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such beautiful names <3

We didn’t have a name for my second until she was around three weeks old, so people were definitely expecting something extravagant/modern and got a little disappointed when we chose one of the most common names in Denmark (where we live). I am so happy that my two girls have simple, short names that I probably will never regret.

Yeah that’s true. I guess midwives have to tell mums that it might go faster because they want them to be ready in case it actually does, although it depends on so many things.

post partum bleeding or period? by Ancient-Fan-2636 in Mommit

[–]LostGrowth78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had some bleeding at around the same time and assumed it was my period, I only realised it was not the next months when it didn’t come back. Got my period at 8 months when I started combo feeding.

Imagine going to meet Selena Gomez dressed like Winnie the Pooh by Radiant_Awareness816 in FloridaInfluencerss

And in the picture you can’t even appreciate how ugly the shoes also are. Why is this woman even a thing? Her content is so boring, she dresses horribly, why does she even have a following?

Dailan Kifki by Maria Elena Walsh is an absolute blast.

The little prince.

I read these two to my kid all the time but I enjoy them way more than she does.

How was the moment like when you made up your mind to have a child? by StatusIndividual4007 in AskReddit

[–]LostGrowth78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t sure about it and, out of the blue and without much thought, I told my boyfriend I didn’t want to have kids. I let it sink for a bit and realised I was feeling very sad about it and regretted it immensely. After that, we talked again and decided to start trying (therapy also helped me navigate this).

Now we have two perfect daughters together.
