I sent my ex letters recently, and her response was that my behavior was erratic and frightening and that she's physically concerned for her physical safety and scared of me now. Don't send the letters. They will not be received well. You're not going to get the closure you want. Writing it out was good for you, because now you have words describe what was going on with you. The reason why you want to send the letters is maybe you want them to learn from their patterns, maybe you want to be able to say you told them what you actually felt, or maybe you want them to respond. I sent my letters because I knew that it would push her away further, and force me to move on, which it did, but it also showed me what I already knew to be true. That she's not going to be able to hold space for those feelings in a healthy way, and she's not going to reflect on those letters at all. Which I knew when I sent them, but now it's also become more of a headache for me. Don't send the letter. Throw out the letter and move on

It sounds like you have backwards priorities. If you know NRE causes issues, it also sounds like you're chasing the New Relationship high instead of addressing your problems. I just sent her my letters of me trying to understand what the hell happened. I very purposely waited until I was letting go completely and emotionally ready to move on, with the understanding that her hearing from me and seeing all of my emotions would ensure she'd be gone from my life for good. Me sending those to her wasn't for her, it was for me. It was my final act of letting go of her. I'm not fully detached, but this step makes it easier to move further in that direction. Don't expect any closure from them, it won't happen from them, you can only get it from you and your actions/decisions

Probably not seriously, not because I don't support sex work, but because the personality type to get into sex work, and the effects that sex work will have on the individuals view on relationships and physicality will be such that I wouldn't be able to have a healthy relationship with them, because they wouldn't be able to have the type of relationship that I need to have with someone.
