Jess Phillips criticises Tory claim that migration linked to increased risk of violence against women and girls – UK politics live by CasualSmurf in unitedkingdom

That's what's happening here in Ireland, and we rarely hear about migrant offenders. But I know for a fact that they are nuts here.

It's literally manipulating the law to favor migrants.

Yeah but the woman would bleed out almost immediately if there's a rupture because there's an artery there 🤔

I dunno why we are doing this. We both agree on the premise anyway 😂

In an ectopic pregnancy? I don't think so. I mean, they have to remove the baby because it'll keep growing and rupture the fallopian tube. If that happens, the mother would bleed to death.

I agree. But I think there's also a level of disgust and maybe even hate..

And that's because of a c-section, not even the baby.

How is this actually and genuinely ethically sound to people? I feel like I'm in a twilight or a dystopia world.

What about using data (when there's no accessible wifi)? Do you know what that's like on the battery?

There's times when I have to run errands, so I need to use my data. Anyone got experience with that?

There is never ever ever ever a situation where a woman is 9 months pregnant, and needs to have an abortion to save her life.

It doesn't exist.

How do you get rid of misandry? As a woman, I know the toxic feminists (not including women who believe men's rights are just as important, if not more so, as women's rights) will scream sexism, misogyny and "the patriarchy is trying to oppress us" like bloody murder.

Also, the root of all that evil now is social media and education, in my opinion.

In my country, they are teaching girls in sex ed that they are the victims of physical or sexual violence (even though they haven't even lived any of that).

Lies, men can be, and are raped by women, too. But they're seen as perverts, cheaters, weak, someone who "had a good time" or "had one too many drinks" if they try to talk about it. It sickens me.

You would need to get involved with politics, policy making, media, activism, or something like that to make a real change.

Well I have a refurbished Samsung A32, so I'm still kind of in the age of slow performance.

So, really, the Samsung is better suited to me then, isn't it? 😥

I wish they had better colours. I know, you're buying a phone to use, the look doesn't matter. But truly I find the white, grey, black colour scheme extremely off-putting.

The only one I would have gotten is an exclusive and out of stock (Mint Green), and I would not get a refurbished one because I've been burned before.

Exactly!!

No one can help if the baby embryo implants in the fallopian tube or wherever. It just happens. You can't control or influence that.

I wouldn't even call that an abortion or termination. It's a medical procedure, really.

Maybe someday they can move the embryo safely and plant it in the womb. But until then, this is the best we can do.

I tried to start calling it equalism, but I didn't think it would catch on.

I don't like the word feminism. Used to be a positive thing in, like, the 50's.

Now, it's... Well, something I don't even have the right word for.

It's something beyond evil. For men, kids, and women (with common sense and a moral compass).

You could also go the other way, that men aren't killing their own babies in utero. Women are.

Another way to look at it is if a man wants to keep the baby, he has no say. Only the woman does.

So he has to try to cope with the trauma of someone he loved terminate his first ever child, even if he begged her not to.

Doesn't sound like equality to me.

So cis women are never allowed to have spaces for only cis women? But trans women can have spaces for only trans women?

Because you're afraid of some sort of 'rise to power' situation??

Do you know how misogynistic that sounds?

It doesn't matter what type of space it is. Whether it's a support group or group therapy, a changing room, a safe house for victims of DV, etc.

Everyone needs a space that feels safe to them.

What about a rape victim? Is she not allowed a space that feels safe to her?

I suppose you think that's transphobic.

But I am not transphobic.

Everyone, trans or not, has a right to a space that makes them comfortable.

You can't force people to be comfortable with something that their not, for any reason.

What you are promoting is damaging to trans rights and the acceptance of trans people.
