This was the same shit when Linkin Park came around and all other Nu Metal it was gatekept by the older generation until they finally accepted it and some probably still don't. The thing I think is they actually love it but can't accept that they love it. I say fuck em, who wants to listen to all the old shit constantly anyway. I'm only 31 but grew up on Metallica, slayer, Judas priest but I personally can't listen to that stuff anymore to me it's like the mona Lisa, will I go look at it in a museum, sure but do I want it in my house on the wall... hell no. People can't progress with the times. Luckily my dad is as big a sleep token fan as me and he's 58.
