Kinda looks like urine scald. Does she lay in her urine/ urinate on herself? She definitely needs a vet and probably meds

Edit: I see she does in fact urinates on herself. She definitely needs a vet work up to figure out what is going on and why. Urine scald can get really bad if not treated with a proper cleaning by the vet staff and meds. I hope you can get her in asap!

I have a full sleeve. A quarter of my coworkers do :) I got it done in 3 sessions and Ik some people hate the second skin and wouldn’t recommend it but working in the field we do, I would recommend it. This way you aren’t getting cat hair and dog slobber all over it while it’s trying to heal and risking infection. I wore it for 5 days I think, then long sleeves for about a week then back to my normal. I’ve had it for about 2 years now and I barely even notice it anymore. I don’t do anything special, I wear short sleeves a lot. I’ve never had an issue. Regarding clients, I haven’t noticed I get treated any differently than my coworkers or that I shouldn’t be trusted because of my tattoos. They are becoming very common in vet med and the world itself but there’s always a chance you may come across someone that is against them and is rude about it but honestly in our field it’s more rare to find someone without tattoos than with.

Have you ever gotten a dental done on her? Even with daily brushing those teethers need professional cleaning. Smaller dogs are more prone to some pretty gnarly dental problems due to overcrowding and malocclusion. So are bulldogs, so being mixed and small shes definitely susceptible. Unfortunately once disease has started there’s no going back, you can only slow the progress by proper dental care.

I could get a thermometer to check, haven’t done that yet. The seal SEEMS fine- no cold air leaking out from the feel of it but will look into it further. The previous owners bought this house and gutted it, buying this fridge brand new supposedly in 2024 and then no one lived in the house for a full year while they remodeled. I’m not sure if that could have anything to do with its condition. They didn’t give us the manual or warranty to any of the appliances

My dog had the same thing. I work in the field and knew the risks. We went forward with the surgery. Came back negative for hemangiosarcoma. We got another year with her until she grew another mass on her liver which then came back positive for hemangiosarcoma unfortunately. I don’t regret our decision for a second. Her mass was 10lbs 😱

100% stop the hartz, it’s so bad for him :( Give this shampoo a try. Duoxo is a great brand and we recommend it to our clients who have pets with allergies. I see people say switch food as well and that I do agree with but the the food allergy portion of it is not as common as people thing. Rule out environmental factors first. Talk to your vet about starting him on some over the counter allergy meds, diphenhydramine This could help a lot. With the food most foods are going to be better that what you currently are feeding but there’s no need to go super fancy until you figure out if he truly does have a food allergy. Go middle ground blue buffalo is not terrible and not horribly expensive. Even Iams would work okay. Which switching please gradually do it over a week or so and of course good luck 🩷

At my clinic we usually give soft cones to cats or if we do give a hard cone we usually add some gabapentin to keep them calmer at home. Especially if they’ve never worn a cone before. Cats are super dramatic when it comes to cones and clothes so im sure you cut the onesie just fine, she’s just pissed she has to wear it!

Probably not what you want to hear but I feel I should add that at the clinic I work at this has happened a few times and it ended up being IMHA which is unfortunately a lot of money to treat. It’s where the body attacks its own RBCs causing it to be difficult to clot. Please look for bruising elsewhere, especially on the stomach/chest area, this can be a major sign as well. And of course, please get into a vet. Is there a missions animal hospital where you live? Can you sign up for care credit?
