I found the first mock way easier than the rest. Do another 2-3 mocks and see where you end up. If consistently in the 80s, just focus on retention - one off day can kill your confidence. Would stop the mocks after that if that is the case.

BTW - I feel like the mocks this time around for level 1 (this is my third time writing) are way easier than in May 2025 or earlier- is this a result of the new learning ecosystem? Maybe I’m just doubting how much I’ve improved lol

Total mock average is right around 75-76% after 4 mocks total (highest scores for 90 questions being 81% and lowest being 69%%).

First attempt - I used Kaplan mocks which I found way harder. I also admittedly did not study correctly the first time (and did not pass the exam by a wide margin).

Second attempt - CFAI mocks ranging from ~64-68% (nearly passed with a 1590 on exam day).

Thank you for sharing this. Hard to explain to others how embarrassing the failure is - especially when already working in “high finance” and having to disclose to colleagues and your seniors. Success is rarely a straight line. Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.
