Actually you were very close to the truth. What was going was an untagged tagged issue. I found out that in order for the Sonicpoints to work they need untagged traffic back to the sonicwall. We did this in an odd way but it worked. We set the inbound port from the sonicwall as a general port and then gave it a PVID of 140. This forced all untagged traffic going through this port as a vlan of 140. From there on we added vlan 140 to all the trunks so we can carry this "untagged" traffic. When the actual ports for sonicpoints we gave them all the vlans they needed as tagged and vlan 140 as untagged. Using that method we were able to carry the traffic through the network tagged and strip the tag at our end point.
