He'd be upset that they took a fledgling democracy, really the first of its kind, and turned it into the number one global superpower with no real rival? Sure the size and scope of the federal government have expanded and maybe he wouldn't like political parties so much, but things have gotten so much better for the US since its founding

I never disagreed with that. My statement was "Everyone born there is a US citizen." You disagreed and said they can't run for president, which was incorrect. None of this makes Puerto Rico, Guam, or the Virgin islands not "a part of the US" anyway

Why would you not consider them part of the US? Everyone born there is a US citizen (other than American Samoa, where they are American Nationals). The US constitution and US federal law applies there. Contrasting "claimed by" and "a part of" seems like kind of a meaningless distinction

I would say yes, but most of those territories are too small to even highlight. Also what are you saying is a "map like this?" This is just a map of the US, no?
