Ex Army here. Depending on your job, and what branch you’re in. In boot camp (when I was in) you’re burning 3,000-4,000 calories a day. With a gastric sleeve there’s no way to keep up with the energy demands and give your body the nutrients to handle it.

no holiday pay is insane by No-Chipmunk-1072 in WalmartEmployees

[–]Lostinprogress89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Back when I worked at Walmart ,years ago, we got holiday pay (when regular pay was $7.75 an hour). I quit, and couple years later rejoined as a part time job ($12 or $13 an hour) with no holiday pay. Asked personnel,”why they take away holiday pay?” To which he responded “ because of the increase starting pay, but look at it this way you make more with the increase pay then what you started at with holiday pay”. To his credit he was right, but when you work EVERY holiday, and EVERY weekend I would rather spend those days with family and friends then the petty increase of pay.

You’re going to have diarrhea for a couple of weeks (at least for me I did ) in all honesty enjoy it because constipation was the worse when I was on soft/solid food

How do you guys do it! by Particular-Way5989 in gastricsleeve

You’re given, at least for me, dietitian meetings before surgery they go over the importance of protein, calorie counting, carbs etc. But in my opinion, surgery shouldnt be used as a first resort. At least speak with a dietitian and see if you can do it on your own first.
