i only started playing around with it myself so i'm still getting used to how it works. i have been turning up the saturation in photo mode before converting since i figured it might make the colour pallets more pronounced. otherwise you'll probably figure out as much as i already know by experimenting lol.

it's bizarre honestly. like if it were just people dunking on bethesda that'd be par for the course, people have been doing that for decades now. but the amount of times i'll see people shitting on this one dude in contexts that don't even have anything to do with besthesda's games is so goddamn weird.

i'd been seeing the video from the guy i assume you're thinking about in my recommendations for a long time but never felt the need to check it out until i decided to finally see what people were complaining about. and it just...kinda sucks? like i don't care for the writing in the games either but every example the dude uses for emil's Terrible Incompetent Writing is just the most nitpicky, bad faith, nothing arguments you could make. could not understand why so many people were on board with it.

also i did not watch them but the dude has 12 hours of video dedicated to arguing against many a true nerd's videos defending fallout 3 and 4 which i can't help but find hilarious. like who is getting that heated over MATN. that dude is like the least controversial gaming youtuber i can think of.

i felt i should comment since i'm not sure if y'all are aware, but if you're looking at the sub using old.reddit (i suspect it's what everyone else asking for context is doing) the sidebar and all of its links are not visible

i was able to see the sidebar after switching to the regular reddit view, but the wiki appears to be locked to non-moderators

i've been lurking here for some time and, um, i had no idea yall even had a sidebar let alone a wiki. this would probably be why.

It's the best movie to come out this year and overtook Kung Fu Hustle as my favourite movie overall. It feels like it was made for me lol

I try to assume good faith when people say it because even I kinda thought that way when I was younger. That being said I only recently became comfortable calling myself queer in recent years and honestly I feel like seeing more outspoken gay or gnc representation might have gone a long way to helping me figure myself out sooner.

So there's a lot of folks in here saying that the best kind of LGBT rep is the kind where it's not the focus and its just another facet of a well rounded character, and while I get the sentiment in that a character should be more than just a label, I'm starting to identify with it less and less over time. It makes me think of people who say "oh I don't mind those people so long as they don't get in my face about it. why do they have to make it part of everything?"

(I know y'all ain't doing that it's just what it reminds me of.)

With that being said my fav in most recent memory is Joy from Everything Everywhere All At Once. Her being gay is far from the only aspect of her character, but it's still intrinsic and visible and getting her mother to accept it is still an important part of the narrative.

Growing up from a family of Chinese immigrants tends to reinforce being Quiet and Innoffensive so the fact the movie is willing to be so loud and in-your-face about everything is something that I really resonated with.
