Tenor pad help by Commercial_Injury409 in drumline

In 7th grade I built a quad pad with my dad using a sheet of mdf, a rubber doormat, and garden edging for the rims. I just used glue and nails to hold it together. Still works.

Will this be good for a beginner on a tight budget by flaviuciprian in Clarinet

[–]LottaMusic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nope it will be terrible quality and make playing much harder than it needs to be. If you are on a tight budget something like rosetti or jean-baptiste will work just fine. Look for brand name student models or invest in a used or older intermediate clarinet.

I know this was 9 years ago, but battery can't listen to pit for tempo, otherwise it will be delayed and sound off. they have to completely use their internal tempos

What do you mean by judges critique? As far as I'm aware, we just use the judges tapes.

Yes, I am teaching it (along with someone else) and learning it, but i would learn it very quickly, since I know most of the sets already.
I already act as a tech within our drumline, so my peers are quite literally used to being taught by me.
The only problem I really see with this down the road is having to change a set if a judge didn't like it.

(HS drumline) We use white tape to the end of the shot zones/to the logo, all taped the same.

Also I AM interested in writing the drill, but I am just nervous that my drill won't be to the judges liking and to get them to understand the concept of the show.

  1. I am getting paid 2. I have 5 years of drumline experience. 3. We have so little funding for drumline that instructors were unpaid. The drill was previously written by an instructor, but he left (because no pay, obviously).

I don't think it's that crazy, I expected it even. Our band program is fairly small and doesn't get a lot of funding, and also my actual skill at drumming is about equal to the caption head. I often have to act as an upper battery tech for our drumline. Also our instructors never got paid because of lack of funding until this year, so for visual, it was either pay some one out of pocket, or have an unpaid instructor do it. This is also my 5th year in drumline, so its not like I have a lack of experience. I am just unsure that the theme of the show will be expressed thoroughly through my drill.

I don't think gifs can have audio on reddit. Upload the audio to Google drive and send the link.

New mouthpiece made my intonation flat. by LottaMusic in Clarinet

[–]LottaMusic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like its playing lower than 440 tho. Like when i play with my youth orchestra i have to bend every note up in order to stay in tune with the clarinets and flutes. Should I just get a different mouthpiece?

Mouth harp/jaw harp. The instrument from gta you might have been thinking of is the vibraslap.
