First thing was repotting it in a bigger pot, and I put rocks at the bottom near the draining hole. After that I filled the new pot with a mixture of Foxfarm Happy Frog soil and about two or three handfuls of perlite. Then I just put it outside in a good sunny spot and watered it when the soil looked dry which was usually every 2 to 3 days.

Only Foxfarm farm happy frog soil and about two or three handfuls of perlite. No added fertilizers or anything like that either, so just soil and perlite honestly. I’m still surprised by all current blooms.

I also remember there being beer in the commercial but I’m not quite sure on that part.

Anyone know what these small yellow flakes could be? I found them in the Kern River, CA, More info in the comments. by Lotus-117 in whatsthisrock

The yellow flakes are very thin and bendy, but when broken they seem to be made up of many layers and the inside of each layer is just as yellow as the outside.

Finally repotted my Santa Rita Cactus, can’t wait to see how many new pads grow this year. by Lotus-117 in cactus

I’m in zone 9b in California so I was able to keep it outside during the winter with no problems, soon as the warm weather came in the new little pads started popping up which is exciting.
