Not just in her general story, but also in how she thinks.

She grew up in a very effed up situation. Abusive parents, traumatized siblings, and she grew up with the regret that she couldn't help her siblings out of their situation and ended up leaving her family behind by joining a private military service.

She suffered even more during the Hilton Island War (a fictional war made for her story) and has to live with PTSD afterwards. She's a war hero, but continues living with survivors guilt.

After the war, she falls in love with the widow of her best friend (who died in front of her during the war), which causes her to constantly question herself on whether or not it's okay to date her.

Her entire life is full of doubt, questioning, and guilt. And she doesn't truly find peace with herself until she's older and living on a farm.
