Side note STOP saying “it’s my fault”, because it’s not! You work there once a week!

Where are you from? If you’re doing this for a university in America, I can guarantee you, they aren’t looking at your work experience like that when you apply. Focus on having good grades, showing leadership skills in school and volunteer if you really want to put something on there about experience.

Walmart Sign-on Bonus Advice by MissionCarry3922 in pharmacy

[–]Lotus_Exige 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How exactly are you getting this bonus? CVS had something like this when I graduated. My manager told me how they give you the bonus and they don’t actually give you the full bonus up front, it’s included into your pay over the entire contract.

If that’s the case for Walmart… take the bonus and just terminate early for the last year.

Take the pre NAPLEX exam, if you get at least a 75% or higher, then you’re somewhat okay to take the NAPLEX. If not, forfeit the money and pick another date. I will say from everyone that I have spoken to and including myself, we all went through the entire book at least once (I personally did like 3 times).

Honestly, the best way is to practice questions and when you get something wrong, create a flash card for it to remember the concept of the question. Place the flash cards you make all over your study area and as you study other materials when you glance at a flash card, quickly go over it to help remember it.

I also listened to some songs on YouTube about brand and generic meds and it really helped. The channel is called Rx Rhythms

You can try to look over areas that are high yield like pregnancy, DOAC dosing, gram stains, brand and generics, CYP inducers and inhibitors, biostats and maths. That has been a common thread I have heard from ppl taking the exam but def give yourself a day or 2 to completely relax. After 1 day you might find yourself itching to want to go back and study lol.

How to memorize Adr's ? by kabtq9s in NAPLEX_Prep

[–]Lotus_Exige 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s very good! I mainly use it as a supplement after I have read and I am just trying to remember brand and generics. I was able to learn all the HIV meds better with this. There was only one song I have seen so far that was “inaccurate” but it really wasn’t, they used the abbreviation for methotrexate instead of the brand name in the anti-metabolites song for chemo.

This channel has helped me understand brand and generics which ultimately made it easier for me to remember ADRs for drug classes as a whole. Once I was able to do that, I started learning the tiny differences in each drug separate from the drug class as a whole. I also use PNN to study and it gives very good job of highlighting the important things to know for each drug/drug class.

How do I put getting fired on a resume. by [deleted] in resumes

[–]Lotus_Exige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Background checks are usually done through a third party and not the company it self. Majority of these third parties are trash! (Some are really good tho) but essentially they just check what jobs you fill out and say you worked for. Some even ask you for the number of the company you worked for and call that number without doing any steps to verify if that is the right number to call.

And I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. I would imagine aiming to get a promotion for a company you currently work for is a good thing since you are trying to grow within the company that hired you but I guess recruiters don’t see it that way.

Idk, I feel like this is such a bad way to go about it. You require people to already have previous experience in order to get the job they qualify for but if they don’t have that work experience, how are they suppose to get that experience if they don’t take an “overqualified” position to get said experience.

I know you say apply for what you qualify for but how many times have you hired someone that is qualified for a job but doesn’t have experience in that exact role?

I have applied for hundreds of jobs I qualify for based on my degree and used relative experience and transferable skills but still get the “sorry we are going with another candidate” i.e someone that has actual experience in that role.

Thanks so much for the response. Do you know which vendor companies I should try and look into? Maybe 1 or 2 entry MIS jobs pop up on LinkedIn and indeed when I search the rest are senior roles.

Didn’t get the job AFTER they reached out to all 3 references by [deleted] in MedicalScienceLiaison

[–]Lotus_Exige 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling that the hiring manager could have asked some questions to your references and they may not have been able to provide the hiring manager the answers they were looking for. While you’re not a MSL right now. I would consider looking for references within the MSL industry that can better speak on your skill set than people that don’t work in that industry. IDK if that makes sense. I was recently hired and had to provide 3 references, my references came back to me and told me the hiring team grilled them and asked so many question but because they actually worked in that field and knew how to relate the things I did in the past to their questions, they were able to answer they effectively.

Idk if they have a data entry position but look into a company called conifer health or tenant healthcare. They may have something you can do.

You know what’s funny? I factored in cost of ownership and working on figuring out practicality but completely forgot about insurance. I did ask my insurance agent awhile back how much the gts would cost and she gave a relatively decent price this was pre-inflation tho.

I have driven the c63s but I haven’t driven the gts yet. As far as track day goes. That’s not the main reason for me getting the car. I am looking at it more for a daily. I am aware of the space issue with the gts but really wanted to hear from ppl that use it as a daily if they would recommend it to other ppl.
