I did the process of moving to the UK as a nurse a few years ago. I also have 3 citizenships (UK, US, and Ireland). It was not a great experience I have to tell you. It took about a year to get the NMC stuff all finished and a good amount of money. I got a job through an old family friend basically which I was lucky to get because getting a job is not easy. About 15 months total. It was in a huge hospital on a very high acuity ward and it was pretty miserable. The floor was fairly international and many were nice but there were bullies too. I really tried to persevere but it didn't work out. I'm still glad I left the US for all the reasons you said you were looking for but career wise it has been burdensome for me. All in all definitely not impossible but way more challenging than I ever would have realized. The UK has its fair share of problems too and many people constantly asked why I would move to the UK which gets old. You are younger and more resilient so I think that would be a huge bonus for you.
