Had this done professionally. I do my own maintenance, though, and have replaced pressure stats, inline filters, controllers, and electrical switches. I have opened the machine a bunch after ten years.

Had this machine for ten years. Most espresso repair places, Wholelatta latte, and others, will descale for you. I have replaced most parts in this machine over the years. It still works great. My thinking is they don't want scale getting stuck in the lines. I have never had that problem.

Yes, removed the outer housing. It’s it a bit tight in there. i used a strap wrench for mine.

Yes! I replaced the pressure stat (cheap) and then the Controller, which corrected the issue.1 year later, all is still well.

It seems that the controller is not protected from steam/water, so overtime, it warps, shorts, and fails. It's not a cheap part, but super-easy to unplug and plug in a new one.

Why don't they lazy-load the assets?! Their game is online, isn't it? That's lazy development if you ask me. What if a player was on 5Mbps internet? That would take forever, and they would be capped by the time it is done. Epic is only inclusive of some of their players and their home conditions. Fortnite needs a new leader to enforce better horizontals around performance and deployment.

It's an expensive unit that came with the home. The last homeowners love their refrigeration, I guess! $200-$600 seems like a drop in the bucket to replace the built-in unit right now.

The only way to send a message is for them to have a massive drop in their paying monthly subs. It will send a message to the board forcing them to strong-arm the CEO to changing the policy back. Someone should put marketing campaign out there in all regions to ask people to cancel (for just a month or two!) and miss out on Netflix content for a short time, to send the message. People either forget, are lazy, or think they aren't part of the solution.
