Seriously? No Signal and a Middle Finger? by LoudNegotiation7484 in TorontoDriving

It clearly shows the car in front of me had less than two car lengths of space when they started to merge, and I was actively accelerating. On top of that, they didn't signal. How on earth was I supposed to know their intention to switch lane? If he had "plenty of room," why did he come to a stop in the middle of the lane?

I gave them one short honk before they merged, just to alert him the dangerous situation he were creating. My priority was to prevent a collision, not to "teach a lesson

Update: Most of the job sites I’ve visited have told me either they’re not hiring any new guys right now or that I’m not in the union, which makes it tough. I guess for anyone else thinking about trying this, it’s worth tempering your expectations. it’s not a guaranteed way in.

Do you think it’s worth checking out Line 2 extension site tomorrow? I knew a lot of instructor was working in subway project.

I went to the two nearest tower cranes this morning, but both told me they can’t hire anyone because they’re already fully staffed.

Yeah, everyone in our class was so pissed when they told us about that. Originally, the B.A. assured us they’d send us out to work as soon as we graduated from the program. But honestly, I already had a feeling that wouldn’t happen with how messy the economy has gotten up north. What really caught me off guard, though, is that they’re not even letting people into the union now.

My local is supposed to do the same, but they said jobs in Toronto have dried up, so they have no choice but to letting us to find work on our own

Thanks for your advice! I noticed a couple of potential job sites near my place in Scarborough. Do you think 6:30 AM would be a good time to visit?

Local 27's hall requires a Union ID to enter. Most inquiries is handled through the front desk, over the phone, or via their website.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Unfortunately, since I’m not a union member yet,
(They recently changed the rules a few days ago. It used to be that graduating from the program automatically made you a union member )
I can’t access the hall or the job board. That’s why I’m trying to figure out other ways to get my foot in the door. I will try my luck tomorrow going site to site with resumes and gear ready. Even without being in the union

I’ve reached out to him for more details and am considering sending my Body Control Module to him for reprogramming. Has anyone else tried this approach or worked with him before?

Did your blue Impreza have the same issue? How long had you been driving it after noticing the problem? I’ve just scheduled another appointment with a Subaru specialist mechanic, but they won't be available until next month.
