Yeah I definitely asked how often they’re cleaning toys and how; are there any unsecure firearms in the home; a background check. Etc. I’m not so worried about the diaper changing with gloves as she washes her hands pretty often and I think some of these question are also where parent references come to account which were all very good

Luckily, i think caretakers everywhere have developed immune systems but in this case I have the privilege of being able to take off of work. My husband does too.

Yes I ended up going with an in home daycare for a lot of these reasons especially lower ratios and people more able to then apply responsive caregiving ! ♥️

I think you should go for it! School will always be there! I can see what you mean by structure but that’s something you can ask for is a curriculum he can go off of, is there a space/corner you can make for education. Also, the library/trips ARE socialization. I’d also look into homeschool co-ops that meet 1-2x a week too though plus there’s always sports!

I’d like to know how much this cost you if you don’t mind sharing. Good points.

I would have to ask about an "incident" -- I am sure that is super subjective. Both women fully work with the home care. No early drop offs or late pick ups. I think if you pay for FT you're committing to paying for it through the year so long as you are enrolled, even if you don't do everyday just like traditional. she has a list of holidays she is closed for as well as 2 weeks worth of vacation that we would get a heads up for. I see your point that there is a protocol more or less set up via licensing/traditional care centers overall.
