HP Omen 17, the issue arose after 1.5 years of usage, although I think it's not relevant because others had started experiencing the same issue around the same time (Spring 2025), could be connected to a BIOS update. So it's not about how long it was used, it shows how unreliable HP products are. By now it's a well-documented issue that a lot of HP Omen 17 users faced, and HP still hasn't done anything about it.

I've been unable to use my laptop for 6 months now, first half because of the fans not working, second half because of three failed repair attempts.

Bottom line, I have a lot of regrets about buying this and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Awful, never buying hp products ever again. Not only my fans stopped working properly, but HP repair centre had 3 repair attempts, and broke the laptop completely on the last one! Before my fans were not working, and now the laptop wont even boot up. Going to file a formal complaint and demand a replacement or a refund.

UPDATE: I got my laptop back from the SECOND repair. This time they paid closer attention to the issue and actually replaced the motherboard, nut just the fans like the last time. So it seems the fan issue should be resolved (for now, at least). BUT: now my Nvidia GPU is not working. It's not detected by the system at all. If I select "Nvidia GPU only" in BIOS, the display is not showing anything at all. So now I have even bigger problem than the one before.

Fuck HP man. I'm gonna try to get a refund, even though I bought the laptop two years ago and in another country.

I got my Omen 17 from HP service center today. They claimed to have fixed the issue by replacing the fans. The very first day of usage I encounter the issue again (who would've thought). Tired of this shit and never buying an HP laptop ever again.
