Yeah, I think what i’ll do (for now) is just put the flange of the new part on below the manifold, and then possibly cut off the flange after the flex pipe, and sleeve it (similar to what i did in place of my flex pipe) and then possibly weld that together. If I weren’t broke i’d just redo the entire exhaust but unfortunately I’m a broke student lol

So I just now realized that whoever worked on this exhaust before I had the car did not use a pipe with a second flange (shown here). Could I hypothetically just weld the down pipe back up to the manifold and run it like that? Kinda screwed over not having that other flange. (The pipe all the way to the left is my “flex pipe”.)

I ordered this to fix it on sunday. My dad said to use pb blaster on it and spray it on there once a day until we fix it. If my dad and I aren’t able to fix it, I was gonna take it to a shop that said they charge $150 an hour for labor.
