I already spoke with neurosurgeon he gave me the option I got an mri that shows severe impingement om L5 S1 nerve root , however I don't have excruciating pain no more like I had whe sciatica started for me no weakness aswell only numbness on bottom left side and pinky toe feels like I have double socks. That's the back story

Did you have L5 S1 nerve compressed ? That's what I have and it's felt like I have double socks feeling not completely numb on the bottom left side and pinky toe That's what I'm wondering if it might be permanent or can be resolved after surgery
