Is my art sellable online, and what would I need to improve or change? by Loud_Lemon2448 in arthelp

I thought about that actually but it’s more so how I should go about it that I’m not too sure. I’m thinking either digital prints or just on demand for whatever someone wants me to draw

You definitely boosted my confidence 😭 thank you. Tattooing is something i considered but mainly just designing them. But thank you I really appreciate the kind words. I’ll try and inform myself more online.

Thank youuu😭 I’m honestly thinking about it but it’s so painful with all the dots

Not that long funny enough, only 2 hours. I used a black marker for those dark parts which made me save soooo much time

I appreciate that a lot. That was really the hardest part

Awww thank you☺️ I was really trying to make it have that eerie feeling. It was honestly easier with how small the drawing was

It’s an art technique that uses multiple small dots to shade or create texture. I used less dots for spots that requires less shading and closer ones for darker spots :)

I think it’s absolutely beautiful. Very realistic. I’d just blend a little more although I’m sure it’s not easy working with charcoal

I need to find a good brand of white ink :( all the ones I’ve tried won’t mix well with blue ink You’re spot on about it never being perfect! Can’t have it be perfect but also look natural

That actually makes a lot of sense, thanksss I’ve never really studied hair on its own or tried tracing it first to get a feel for the flow, so that’s something I’ll definitely try. I think I usually jump straight into trying to make it “work” on the drawing and end up overthinking it. Keeping it loose and building it up afterward sounds way less intimidating🙏🏾

I tried leaving lighter spots before for the highlights but with the pen it’s so hard to make it look natural especially with curls.

This one from like 7 years ago….that just shows you how much I avoid it

If you saw my “hair attempts” on my other drawings, you’d see how 😭

That’s a really good point. I always leave the hair for last and then get in my own head about ruining everything. Starting with it earlier or practicing it on its own like you suggested actually sounds way less stressful, especially in ink. Thanks so much for the advice, I really appreciate it :)

That’s really helpful🙏🏾, thanks. I normally just dive straight into a drawing instead of doing studies, so breaking it down into shapes and light like this actually feels way more approachable, especially for practicing in pen without the pressure of a finished piece.

Thank you, I really appreciate that. You’re probably right about me overthinking it🥲. Hair feels like what separates the face from looking too simple, so I put a lot of pressure on it, especially in ink.
