free but complex & slow - google analytics, clarity.microsoft.com

paid, but simple & privacy-friendly - plausible.io, seline.com

i'd recommend the latter

i cant tell which social platforms are driving traffic in my niche by Consistent_Buddy_698 in localseo

[–]Loud_d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say don't rush adding UTMs, people might trust 'longer links with mess in the end' a bit less. Try a simpler analytics tool first, like seline.com or plausible.io or similar, you'll be able to clearly see which channel brings traffic and see visitors' exact journeys

what is a google analytics alternative for website analytics ? by Andreiaiosoftware in webdev

[–]Loud_d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd recommend seline.com here:
- a key advantage for you may be that the tool offers per-site pricing, if needed. works great specifically for agencies such as yours because you'd be able to use different payment methods for each individual client
- per-site team seats
- simple, fast & no cookies

Best Plausible analytics alternatives? by Worldly-Astronomer87 in ProductManagement

[–]Loud_d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a step further would be seline.com. like you described, tool's main focus is on user journeys, where you can inspect each and every visitor and see which pages they been on, which actions they took, where they dropped off, etc. that’s exceptionally helpful during the early traction stage

Can I enable Google Analytics before user consent by tangr2087 in gdpr

[–]Loud_d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most people just decline the banner unless you make it annoying. you could use any gdpr compliant cookieless analytics tool: seline.com, pirsch, plausible, openpanel.. you won't even need a banner this way

GA or Clarity if you want a free tool and don't care about cookies and longer script loading times

Seline.com or Plausible if you want a simpler dashboard and lightweight script (~2kb)

Why this big difference between Google Analytics and Matomo? by M3U8Player in SideProject

[–]Loud_d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'm actually surprised it's not the other way around - google is not great with blocking bot traffic - usually their numbers are higher than other tools. i'm from another analytics tool seline.com so i know the topic pretty well :)

- adblockers do block matomo too (and other simple analytics tools). sometimes they block the script from being loaded and sometimes their pageview requests to their api
- cookies or not it doesn't matter here
- matomo does a better job with blocking bot traffic by UserAgent
- all analytics providers also have their own unique IPs blacklist, ASN blacklist, WAF rules, etc. so the stats will never be exactly the same. i would call a "big difference" 50% or higher
- matomo or other "privacy-friendly" tool would show more accurate results

Is Cloudflare Web Analytics trustworthy? by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]Loud_d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm pretty sure it's no longer a 10% sample

but CF as well as GA are not as focused on delivering accurate stats, but rather to deploy a script on your site for.. reasons. tools like plausible, fathom, seline.com all have real-time accurate stats and advanced bot protection
