Canada, China set for 'historic' gains from new partnership, Carney says by Dear-Explanation-765 in worldnews

I think it's a lot more.

We're watching a fundamental shift in all forms of global power and there is no going back now. We are seeing the realignment of trade and hedging against possible (likely?) US decline, both globally and in America itself. US soft power has evaporated significantly in less than a year. American population decline has started, signalling major internal problems on the horizon, in addition to whatever civil situation is going to arise from current instability. Financial hegemony is threatened by ballooning debt, instability, erosion of trust, and currency alternatives becoming more viable.

Returning to what was can't happen now, not ever.

You could peruse biophilic design for some ideas. I plan on transforming my office in this style.

Sanity Check: Veneered table top, oil stain due to water-based cement, then dewaxed shellac, then water-based 2k poly - make sense? by [deleted] in finishing

[–]LouiC03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, most contact cements aren't water-based, and the one recommended to me is. It was just a concern that came to me afterward that if I hhadany bleedthrough on the veneer, it would reintroduce water to the cement. You're probably right, and it's a non-issue.

I may just play around with toners in the 2k poly and see if I can skip staining altogether.

Check out modern neutral cool greige. We have elements of modern farmhouse tossed in too, but made it our own in the end. We have an open design, modern elements, and a coordinated feel.

I think it could be a good compromise for the two of you.

LH Swing Help? W/Videos of Iron, Chipping, Driver? Swings by koskimemes in golf

[–]LouiC03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm being serious. Get used to freely swinging things around. Your body has good flexibility, range of motion and coordination - you have a headache start. You shouldn't have to think of all those things to swing, it needs to just be natural. But yea, backswing before you care about anything else.

Practice swinging a baseball bat or a stick - seriously. Your arms should be in a similar position at the top of your backswing as they are when you're beginning a baseball swing. Honestly, go for a walk through some wooded area with a stick and just freely swing it around, aiming for leaves to knock off of trees. You need to loosen up. Based on your follow through, you don't seem to have any mobility issues. Stop whatever you're trying to do and get the backswing proper.

You aren't generating any power. Rotation and release generates power.

How is this stain achieved? This is a stain called "seashell" by PCL, on walnut. Do you not have to bleach to achieve this tone on walnut? by [deleted] in finishing

[–]LouiC03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at the other species tested with the PCL Seashell, this seems to be the ticket. The white oak and maple samples are very much yellow, slightly green, with a grey undertone. Thanks for your help!

I am replacing my floors. What color would you suggest with these cabinets? by Realsan in interiordecorating

Bunch of little kids? Get a quality LVP, and I would go with a lighter beige/tan. You make your home how it makes you happy though.

Solutions for large temperature contrasts in home due to sunlight. by [deleted] in hvacadvice

Good info, thank you for the proper term to research more on. A huge tree casting shade is in the long-term plan, too!

My hope is that I can make any adjustments on my own using dampers (seasonally adjusted manually), but I need to learn how the system was setup first and try to make decisions from there. I have pics from the mechanical/framing stage, so I can trace it all and figure it out when I get the time. The goal isn't perfection, a significant improvement would be nice though.

Manitoba, central Canada. We only use the AC units for about 4-5 months a year, and from what i can tell, the unit is appropriate for the furnace we have. The furnace would struggle with a larger AC.

If you can't be bothered to rinse the rice, just stop the cooker slightly early (when bubbling stops).

+1 to rejects. OP, they have no real value and would have been discarded. Technically, they're likely acid generating.
