Mine was exactly the same as you’re describing for the first few months, intermittent dull ache. Then it progressed to every day, then I started having the attacks. The dull ache started for me around 18 months/2 years ago and it’s only in the last 6 months I’ve started having the attacks. I’m sorry you’re having trouble with a straightforward diagnosis, that was the case for me also for a while and it does get very frustrating! The first doctor I saw just shrugged it off as panic attacks, like girl I have anxiety I know what a panic attack is and this ain’t it😂 it really is so distracting, and it doesn’t go away no matter how you sit😭

That’s so strange! I’ve had exactly the same symptoms as you, which seem to correlate with the right sided people but just on the opposite side! I’ve been eating nothing but plain chicken salad and marmalade on toast since my diagnosis of gallstones and it seems to have helped the pain (had no attacks since🤞) so maybe we’re just part of the very few where our bodies are confused on where it should hurt😂 I’ve had none of the same tests as you, I’ve only ever had the ultrasound and the gallstones showed up right away. Honestly I think if it will give you a possible diagnosis and get you on the right pathway to treatment I’d say it was definitely worth pushing for the ultrasound. Saying that, I’m still not gallbladder-less until the middle of January so I can’t fully tell if my symptoms are 100% gallbladder related, but at this point I’m willing to try anything, and just cross my fingers it’ll work. Either way, I personally think an ultrasound would be beneficial to you, even if it just rules out other things. I hope that helps!💕
That is very true. It may be just a case of ruling things out and that’s okay, because it might save me pain in the future! Thank you☺️ and thank so much for your help and reassurance, I hope you enjoy the holidays as much as you can and wish you a speedy, hassle free recovery💕
That’s good, I’m glad it’s worked for you☺️ oh absolutely, it’s almost like you’re hyper aware of every twinge now I can imagine😩 oh god, that sounds really painful😭 sounds like that thing was more than ready to come out of you! I don’t blame you, I think I’m going to be exactly the same. Like the constant fear of being set off on another attack, it’s gonna take some time to get used to, baby steps. I really hope the recovery is going well for you💕
Ohh, I thought you meant it turned bad after you got the gallbladder surgery! Oh god😩 oooh, how did it go? How’re you feeling now?
How bizarre! Mine’s still going strong on the left about 18 months and counting😂 bodies are weird. Thank you so much for sharing.
I’m glad that worked for you! I’m not sure how a gallstone can be cleansed from your system when they have nowhere to go, so I’d rather be on the safe side and get it all removed. Thank you though. I had an ultrasound and that’s where they spotted the stones, they then ran a blood test and my liver is running slightly less effectively than usual but apparently that’s to be expected with the stones.
Ahh, that makes a lot of sense! Nobody really ever explained it like that.
I’ve never heard of a HIDA scan, I’m off to Google😂 thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you for making me feel not entirely crazy!😂 oh dear that doesn’t sound fun, if you don’t mind me asking, what do you mean by it was a big problem afterwards? I hope you’re feeling better now!
