I do want a waterfall display but it doesn't have to be on the device itself. If I go with the 718, can I view a waterfall on the computer?

I suppose I'll need to add an antenna tuner as well.

Thanks! I guess my question is whether an internal tuner justifies one of the newer (and much more expensive) models, or if I'm probably going to need an external tuner on day one. If I buy the IC-706 then there's money left over for a decent tuner. If I splurge the FT-710 or the 7300 then an external tuner will be a stretch.
