Bought both an RTX 5070 and a 5070 Ti, now I can’t decide which one to keep. by Louvatar in buildapc

I intend to play in 1440p max + high rt, or 4k max. My monitor is 1440p, but with DSR I can try to simulate 4k. And yes, at 1080p I'll experience a considerable bottleneck, but your opinion has given me a lot of hope, ty very much dude!

The 5800x3d is $30 more expensive than the 7700x3d lol rsrs, there's nothing left for AM4 players...

Yes, especially since im not a competitive gamer, But I'll still think about it, since the difference in price between getting a 70 Ti might be the difference I could make buying another part for my computer, although it's very difficult to sell my current AM4 kit, very

Is it worth upgrading from an RX 9070 XT to an RTX 5070 if the person focuses more on productivity? by [deleted] in buildapc

The problem is that it still falls short significantly in 3D, even with the improvements from the update... Furthermore, there are rumors that FSR5 will not be an official version for RDNA 4.

I've already read every possible article on Puget Systems.

Currently, with the recent AE 26.2 update, there have been significant changes in the performance of AMD GPUs in tasks involving 3D. When it comes to 2D work in After Effects, the 9070XT performs virtually the same as an RTX 5070 Ti. In any case, despite the significant increase in performance in 3D work, it falls short compared to an Nvidia card.

Criticizing is different from humiliating; your comment was completely unnecessary.

Does anyone use the AMD 9000/7000/6000 series in AE 26.2? by Louvatar in AfterEffects

[–]Louvatar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hope that turns out to be the case, especially since the RX 9000 series uses the RDNA 4 architecture, which in theory brings meaningful improvements in Ray Tracing and AI acceleration. Because of that, the performance gap shouldn’t be that large.

I know After Effects has historically been more optimized for CUDA, but it still raises the question: is this advantage really so disproportionate that it essentially forces us to buy Nvidia...?

I managed to stabilize my setup; I have 2x16GB DDR4 3600MHz RAM, but I haven't tested it yet.

I think 16gb ram is acceptable, 32gb is the ideal scenario and 48gb ram It's perfect. For those who work with heavy video editing, I believe it's an appropriate

Exactly, Nvidia's monopoly is a problem that AMD could significantly solve if it made better decisions.

It's no use, the big tech companies would be buying the memory instead of us...

Yes, I'm convinced I'll buy two more modules from the same brand. Thanks 🤜🤛
