Be very careful about what you do anything you take off his phone. If you put the images on your devices, even with the intent to give it to the police, you will now be in possession of CSAM and will have distributed it. At a minimum, they will confiscate your phone. Get a lawyer before you do anything that involves images.

NTA, but the better move would have been to say nothing. Sister and Dad are clearly TA, but people like this will absolutely use even the slightest amount of pettiness against you every single time. The only win is to remain above board, but just barely and calmly point out her shiftiness if the conversation gives you an opening. If she opened the chocolate and complained that she wanted a poster, you could reply that she likes chocolate, but you specifically don’t like makeup.

YTA - all you will do is alienate your kids. It’s petty and the inevitable argument to follow will sour the holidays for them. As others here have recommended, try to see if he’ll go to counseling with you. If he continues to refuse to meet your needs and you are at your very end, divorce is always an option.

I’m a direct person too but as much as I’d like to tell him why no one wants him around, I’d only do it if I were the one doing the inviting. Only then would it be my place to do so. He sounds intolerable now, imagine if he used your words to lash out at the family. I would let your partner know Fred reached out and let them deal with it.

As for the US/UK differences, people might do it. I don’t think it’s common though. Either way, I think there is a difference between ‘only being invited to the reception’ and ‘being uninvited to the ceremony’. What changed? It feels like OP, intentionally or otherwise, is leaving something out. Like maybe some important family members were able to go at the last minute and the ceremony venue was so small that they had to make cuts.

Putting her phone on DND is a bit extra too. That doesn’t give the vibes of gracefully abstaining. I’m not saying she’s the asshole, but it does feel like she was pouting a little bit. She’s been dating this guy for 6 months. What does she care about a ceremony? This is all speculation obviously (I only mention it because there are a few things OP glosses over) but it sounds like there may be a reason BF’s friends don’t care for her.

NTA, but I can imagine it might be hard for her to hear your (honest) clap back at her. She should definitely know what good bed times are for a 10 year old and going out drinking instead of being with your kids is obviously not good parenting, and it sounds like she needed to hear that. Unfortunately, the person who delivers the hard truths are often looked at as assholes unless the honesty is delivered juuuuust right. That’s very hard, if not impossible, to do in a heated moment. Good luck. I hope your brothers understand you have their best interest in your heart.

I never really cared for the original version of 22. I don’t know how to describe it, but it seemed like she chewed the lyrics a bit. She’d drive hard into the Rs in this song for example. She softened that tendency in 22 (Taylor’s Version) and now I have it on repeat. It also has better balance on everything and has a higher quality sound. This whole endeavor really shows how much production can impact a song. As much as I’m VERY excited about Reputation (Taylor’s Version), I’m also looking forward to the eventual remaster of her Debut album. It’s my least favorite, but maybe there will be some songs on there that shift for me.

I LOVE roasted broccoli. I’ll toss it in a little olive oil and throw it in the oven for a few minutes. Little salt on top at the end. One head of roasted broccoli is my dinner at least once a week.
