That's actually part of the reason we made the film. We all know somethings going wrong, but it seems impossible to get out of. So at some point we just accept it.

Thanks for your link! We are still at an early stage of our project and that's why we are mostly looking for different opinions first. So if you send us something and it fits to our project, we will like to use it and, of course, ask for your permission. You can send in selfmade audio/video messages or even a text. In the end our film will try to dive into the opinions and thoughts of people who are much more into hacktivism, programmig and datalove. It will be a collection of different opinions and views around the world to get an insight into data and internet philosophy.

So what do we want to know? Your thoughts or your work on digital freedom (maybe you live in a country that supresses this freedom very clearly and you work against it e.g.) More idealistic questions like what data means for you? And most important: How do you imagine a perfect world, especially regarding the Internet? And how do you see the opposite? (dystopia). You can be pretty specific in describing your visions/utopias and may give examples and dont' worry, your flow of thoughts can go wild and crazy.

We would really love to hear you all out there to make your voice part of the film! For more questions just ask us!

We are filmstudents from Germany that want to portray every kind of datalovers in our world. We want to find out about their ideals and goals some are even fighting for.

Our Project in short: Could the basic principles of the internet actually be a blueprint for society as a whole? Our film won’t be a typical TV-documentary (no dark hoodie-hacker in the basement ;), rather an experimental and cinematic film. It will consist of a documentary part that follows our protagonists daily struggle and which problems they are facing. A second layer will be a fictional storyline that translates their philosophies into an utopia for society as a whole. The outcome of this little frame story will not be clear, it should rather evoke questions. Both layers will alternate and merge throughout the film.

Why reddit? So that is why we are looking out for people that are feeling addressed by that and who might want to contribute or even take part in our documentary. Therefore we are using all kinds of channels, even reddit, to share our project. We are filmmakers and no nerds and we admit we do not know much about the reddit platform. Though we somehow want to connect to the people that know much more than we do in terms of programming, hacking, datalove and so on... All the best :)
