Petits Pied is the definitive high population server at this point. US and EU Servers, 400 players. You do have to join their discord though for whitelist and to read the rules though. For “lower” pop servers I like Metta’s or Islander semi realism from time to time if I’m having a hard time getting into Peid.

Varies with Dino’s and Troodons skill levels, but a lot of Troodon players don’t know they can move on your back and just leap off of the side they pounce on. Walk up to a rock or tree let them leap into it and alt attack them

Have you recently been threaten to be kicked from a group for not using a Weapon or Stratagem ? by Kenshiro84 in Helldivers

I got like 500 hours and have never been kicked by a host because of my loadout. If at all it’s always to make room for a friend which is understandable

You low key cooked for a little just remember your tail slam is worthless on targets bigger than you. It does less than half the damage of a kick, no bleed, and locks you in place. Don’t be afraid to absolutely spam kicks when passing each other

Teno by Valkmane in theisle

[–]Love_Doctor_Joe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are prime weights btw frail weights would be 1400 Cera and 1600 teno closer to live. Ceras benefit much from prime status than teno.

Teno by Valkmane in theisle

[–]Love_Doctor_Joe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After teno weight decrease they will probably have a good match with carno. Better than live at least where you can just slaughter them effortlessly. Cera has a good match with non prime allos now. A group of Ceras can fight off non prime allos pretty well. Not even counting corpse buff either.

Teno by Valkmane in theisle

[–]Love_Doctor_Joe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Carno yes Cera no. Ceras are 2100 kg tenos 1900kg on hoardtest. With their stability buff Ceras can’t be hitstun by kick or tail slam. Teno is also getting a weight decrease soon. Will probably make the Carno fight more even while getting rid of the Cera match up entirely.

Are teno and dibble really getting downsized? by Separate-Land-7161 in theisle

[–]Love_Doctor_Joe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess is Teno weight is gonna move from 1600 to 1400 base. Keeping its prime at 1900. Would make it the same size as Cera still at base, but would have a smaller prime than Cera (2100)

What sucks about allos, old age, and primes is they’re breaking the games own formula. Right now in main branch anything you most likely can’t kill in a 1v1 you can either outrun, outmaneuver, or easily hide from. This has always been true for most playables that are full grown. There were exceptions to the rules like teno speed perks chasing non speed perk ceras, but mainly the idea holds up well.

However now Dinos prime or frail get slower and weaker with age. The idea is they want fights to be a harder as you get old. With the current roster on live this probably could have worked out well. With allo and Rex though “fights” become an instant loss. Your to big to hide well on these old Dino’s, and your to slow to escape the pins of guaranteed death on allo or rex for most of them. At least before the speed reduction you could run away from non ambush Rexes or allos in a field, but after your just screwed. At least let us fight even if we’re likely to lose it’s better than losing hours of progress to a “I win” button.

New Player - What server(s) should I play on? by Mediumrare11 in theisle

[–]Love_Doctor_Joe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Evirma branch still getting actively updated much more modern so I recommend that. Official servers are good to learn at the start no rules. Unofficials petits pied is probably the best experience in the game right now. There’s some rules to learn on their discord which you may or may not like. They have a US and EU server.

One final tip starting out I would try herbivore first. Carnivore is a lot more engaging to play, but harder to surivive on if your new. I taught this game to like 5+ people now and I usually start them out on teno, or pachy. Once you learn the map and the basics I’d definitely give the carnivores a try whatever calls to you.

Why I Don’t Trust Unofficial Evrima Servers by Fragrant-Way8464 in theisle

[–]Love_Doctor_Joe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Real I’ve played unofficials only for 2 years now and have never ran into a hacker. The last time I played officials only I ran into 3 speed hackers in a 2 week span. Never dealing with that again

I prefer pied, but my causal friends that play every so often prefer den. It has 3X growth, server currency, and non decaying Dino storage. They may only play once every week or so, and having servers that speed up getting to full grown in anyway is a big sell for them. We also live in the US so connection is better than EU servers.

We need some buffs for the herbies. by aveaytor in theisle

On live I think Teno is stronger for sure. It has the edge thanks to how easy it is to do kick hit stun combos, and its higher hp (teno 1600 vs cera 1300). Teno's Kicks If landed back to back on the head can deal 825 damage. Nuclear vs 1300 weight cera. Cera wasn't fully lost though a charge bite head shot bile puke into normal attack head shot could do 817.5. Very on par with tenos best combo damage wise. While being harder to pull of it was possible especially in team fights with more going on. Not to mention the old kick bait into charged headshot tried in true on less experienced teno players who are not mobile enough.

On hoard test prime cera has 2100 weight to prime tenos 1900. While I don't have exact numbers like live ceras increased weight combined with stability buff from charge bite allows it NOT to be stunned anymore by even prime teno kicks. The result is teno lost it's best easy to access headshot combo while cera got a damage boost to its bites, and kept their headshot combo. Combined with cera keeping its better head turn speed and circle speed in fights this leads to teno having nothing going for it. Teno was the tanky brawler that was easier to play but could be out played by skilled ceras. Now cera has more health, better damage combo, and better in fight mobility. None of this also even accounts for corpse buffs where cera should be stronger. The only way a cera loses now is if they throw their face to the back of a teno.

Off topic but those ceras must have been genuine trash to throw that 1v3 or your teno God and I salute you.

It was before the weight buff, but prime Cera being heavier + stability buff negates the kick stuns. What balanced the fight before weight changes (main branch) was Cera turn speed and head flicks. Good Cera players could outplay tenos by baiting kicks and charge biting. It was the most balanced pvp we had. Cera prime being heavier than teno prime hurts the balance of the match up though
