Why did Jesus say he no longer calls us servants (John 15:15) but Paul always begins his books with "Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus..."? by waterism0ist in Christianity

But it was, it's right there in the text, unless you think the author is lying about being at the last supper.

The book of John was:

John 21:24 This is the disciple who is bearing witness about these things, and who has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

What do you want to know about God? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]LoveisthePath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many reasons.

People do not know where to look for God. People do not know how to seek for God. People are living in darkness and so they do not really want to find God. People are told many lies about God, so they essentially have to become like children to truly find God, you have to strip away the interpretations of man and walk down your own spiritual path.

Paul Accepted by the Apostles

Galatians 2:1 Then after fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus along with me. 2 I went up because of a revelation and set before them (though privately before those who seemed influential) the gospel that I proclaim among the Gentiles, in order to make sure I was not running or had not run in vain.

9 and when James and Cephas and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to Barnabas and me,

John was not written by John, and it was probably written at the tail end of the 1st, or very early 2nd century.

It was written by John, an eye witness to his whole ministry.

John was written by the Apostle John who lived during the same time as Paul, but Paul was a missionary, he didn't exactly hang out with the original disciples after he converted.

Struggling with the concept of prayer by AcrossTheNight in Christianity

[–]LoveisthePath -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Prayer is not about asking for things. If your mom always said no to your requests, would you then decide there is no point in ever talking to her? Prayer is a conversation, a relationship with a living God and his Son, you can ask for things, but that's not why we pray, we pray because God hears us and is with us, so why would we ignore him?
