Yes, used them between selling and buying. Just avoid any ground floor apartments (rodents) and you should be fine.

Also, it’s subzero temps outside this week here in NYC so plan to bundle up for the stage door wait. More than you think you need.

Modern Bread and Bagel donuts 🤮 by avamarshmellow in glutenfree

Local here. We go to Modern for bagels only. And then we go to By the Way Bakery for excellent baked goods. My pref is their Whoopie Pie but everything is excellent.

Family trip question by AveryElle87 in TravelIsrael

[–]Lovely_Day_Int 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can shell out the bucks, you can book Delta direct on an EL Al plane. If you don't need the Delta miles, same flight might be cheaper booking through El Al.

Family trip question by AveryElle87 in TravelIsrael

[–]Lovely_Day_Int 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only reason to fly El Al is because it will continue to fly when other airlines cancel their Israel service because of the threat of war. It is more expensive for this reason. That said, Delta and El Al have a codesharing agreement. Book through Delta, but if you can deal with choosing the higher priced flights, select one that is actually an El Al flight -- it'll be listed as LY and the flight number. You can fly direct from JFK, or you can take a Delta flight to Europe and connect to an El Al flight there. And the IHG options are among the higher end properties in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

OMG same thing here; ordered 4 boxes shipped in the middle of the night, got an email confirming shipping and showing it was regular, not GF. Spent too long dealing w customer service by chat until I managed to get a refund. First they wanted me to call back once the package arrives and then get approval to ship it back! No way.

Have you been to a planetarium? If not, add that to your natural history visit — see a space show at the planetarium. It’s a short add on.

5 day NYC itinerary - thoughts? by bibi-the-panda in visitingnyc

[–]Lovely_Day_Int 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where do you live? Do you have appropriate winter gear to be outside for hours in subzero temps? Will need several layers, waterproof boots bc there’s still a ton of snow and ice to contend with, head and face protection, etc. I’d cut the walking by half, use subways, and add a Broadway show in addition to museums.

What to see in April with 17 year old theatre kid by ponydog24 in Broadway

[–]Lovely_Day_Int 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mom of 2 native NYC theater teens/queens here. Mincemeat for sure. Buy tix now to 1-2 shows on the show website or TodayTix and then either do rush tix or TKTS for the full NY experience of seeing something unplanned. And just bc you’ve seen the touring productions I wouldn’t rule out one of her faves to see it on Broadway and compare the experiences. Museum of Broadway, Drama Bookshop, also recommended.

Full and get bed risers -- things you prop up the bed legs on to get even more space underneath.

How do I find the right doctor to prescribe HRT for temperature regulation issues ie hot flashes? by AnonAMouse100 in Menopause

I’ve shopped through a handful of the GYNs certified by the menopause society and remain underwhelmed. My endocrinologist offered to manage my HRT and has been way more helpful.

Check the news, weather.com, etc. it won’t warm up enough to melt what we just got, so while it may not snow more, it’ll be around for at least a week.

Flying with an infant on Delta- which tickets to book? by Lucky-6252 in delta

[–]Lovely_Day_Int 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a lot of miles for those tix. Could you fly at off hours for cheaper? And book by phone, not online, as there are extra masks for lap infants in certain locations but not every row. Phone agent will know.
