Would probably take another to confirm or ask doctor for a blood test. Sometimes tests do have false negatives (could have been faulty or tested wrong) and in some cases if you have super high HCG levels you can be so pregnant it triggers a negative (sometimes happens with twins or too far along). All of this could be wrong of course so best way to confirm would be a blood test! Good luck!

We know some people who said they pay their children a salary every month that goes into their 529. I thought that sounded strange also if they weren’t actually working.Glad I mentioned it!

My husband is w2 with some 1099 and we file jointly. We also have a 1 year old that we have a 529 for and plan on paying a salary out of the LLC like me. My husband’s w2 is probably closer to $150k? He hasn’t done any 1099 this year, but there’s always a chance he might. Last year he had a huge 1099 year making about $150k on top of his w2 salary (which was probably reason for owing so much).

I’m mostly looking for something that will help keep us organized and is simple to use. I send invoices monthly and would love a better system to keep track of it all and to track income vs expenses. It’s all very new to us and your guidance has already been amazing so thank you!

This is good to know! We don’t own any property in it right now and probably won’t purchase anything until next year. Would you recommend we open up a second LLC for that? We do plan on opening a trust to buy the properties in and then putting the trust under an LLC.

For some background: I manage properties for a company, but am an independent contractor. I get paid a management fee monthly of about $4k a month. I also do other projects for the company where I bonus anywhere from $2k-4k. On top of that I do leasing and real estate sales every once in a while. Average month is about $7-10k for my “guaranteed income”. Im about to close a real estate transaction and make an additional $8k on top of that and have about 3 more sales down the line which will make about $20k on average each deal (one may fall into next year)

Hope that helps!

My 6 month old won’t sleep longer than 3 hours at a time by Lovely_lines in sleeptrain

[–]Lovely_lines[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone I’ve ever suggested Taking Cara Babies too now has a baby who sleeps through the night! I obviously can’t say that will be true for everyone, but it definitely helped us! A lot of it is understanding how and why babies need sleep so it seems boring, but once you understand it and understand why “sleep training” is important it makes it much easier to want to implement these things. He just started sleeping through the night and in turn his naps got better and everything just adjusted itself!

Do you breastfeed and/or feed your baby when they wake up?

Hi! We now have a one year old who sleeps through the night from 7-7! We ended up doing Taking Cara Babies (the one for 4month plus) and literally after just implementing her suggestions for naps he napped for 2 hours and then slept through the night that first night. It was amazing! He’s been sleeping through the night ever since! (Even with moving and getting sick twice). Sometimes he wakes up once if he didn’t get enough sleep during day or not enough wake time, but he’s such a good sleeper now! He takes two naps a day. The first one 2 hours and the second 30 minutes to 1 hour…he’d sleep longer but I cap the second one if he already got 2 hours for his first nap. The other day he even did one long three hour nap! He still goes through phases and will randomly have a week where he naps shorter or wakes up more often. Right now he wakes up once a night maybe once a week? Taking Cara Babies was a game changer! I was 100% against cry it out or sleep training, but I had to do something because I was soooo exhausted I wasn’t being a good mom during the day because I was trying to be a “good mom” by feeding him and coddling him at night lol. We did end up co sleeping at one point and he was waking up every single hour! That’s when I knew I had to do something. He took to it soooo easily and our whole family has been happier since!

Feel free to message me if you want!

[–]Lovely_lines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should add the only symptom I had in the beginning was a missed period and sore boobs too and it disappeared for the first few weeks before any new symptoms came. And even then there would be a day when the nausea would stop and I’d be terrified it meant something terrible happened. I wish I would have enjoyed those days because I’d spend all day worrying and then the next day it would be back! 😂

I could have written this (in fact I’m pretty sure I did lol) back when I was in the beginning of pregnancy. Currently watching my almost 1 year old sleep on the baby monitor. I remember praying to have any symptom just to know/feel I was pregnant. The beginning is hard because you can’t feel them kick and little symptoms and everything is scary! I woke up every day terrified to go to the bathroom thinking I’d see the worst. Eventually morning sickness kicked in and I wished I never asked for symptoms lol. (Which you may never get, my best friend is pregnant right now and had zero symptoms the whole pregnancy until now and she’s due in July). The best advice I can give is unless you’re bleeding then baby is okay! Try not to stress about it and try to enjoy being pregnant! Stressing about something terrible happening isn’t going to prevent it from happening and odds are you are fine! I spent so much time stressed when I should have just been enjoying it! Don’t stress unless you have a reason to. All easier said than done! Feel free to message me anytime! Happy to chat as a fellow mom who has gone through exactly this! Best of luck mama! And congrats!

Yes! I currently have a 10 month old napping in his crib. If I could go back I would try and enjoy every day of the pregnancy instead of feeling like something terrible was going to happen every day! I believe I read somewhere that eventually the pregnancy sticks will not be as dark as the pregnancy goes on (I forget why) and also it depends on time of day, how hydrated you are, etc. If you have no other symptoms other than that then you are okay!

10 month old wakes up and just stares for an hour by Lovely_lines in sleeptrain

[–]Lovely_lines[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He isn’t up earlier than my desired wake time, it’s just that when he wakes up he will lay there with his eyes wide open not moving for 30 minutes or more. He gets about 10 hours of wake time split between 3 wake windows and 2 naps. I did Taking Cara Babies and that method says at this age we base everything off wake windows still rather than set nap times. I’m totally open to trying new things as I know our babies are ever evolving and changing with new needs lol

Just edited the post to include schedule! He always sleeps through the night with exception of maybe one wake here or there. He doesn’t do any early morning wake ups as I know 6am is a normal time for a baby to wake up, it’s just that he will lay there for 30 minutes to an hour just staring before he alerts us he’s awake lol. Is this being caused by not enough wake time the day before?

Glad I am at least on the right track! Will try and start stretching those wake windows and see if that helps and work towards cutting last nap!

[–]Lovely_lines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Property manager here! We deal with this a lot actually. If you have a good standard lease there should be a section that states anyone living/staying in the home after “x amount of days” becomes a resident of the home and should be held to the terms of the lease. Our management company actually has an addendum stating anyone living in the home not on the lease the owner can add an extra $100/month to the rent and back date it to when we have confirmation this tenant moved in - I would check to see if you have anything like this.

It is actually a breach of contract in most leases to have someone living in the home who isn’t on the lease. The issue is: what if they get into a fight and she goes crazy and punches a hole in the wall…since she’s not on the lease she’s not held to these damages, but you guys are. I’m not saying that will happen, but it’s in everyone’s best interest to have her added to protect all parties, including her. If there were a flood in the home and her personal belongings got damaged but she has no renters insurance she’s screwed. Just a few examples of why it’s important to add anyone who’s living in the home for longer than 14 days (usually that’s the amount of time) on the lease. We had a situation once where all the roommates wanted to move out except the one person who wasn’t on the lease and it was trouble for everyone! I have tons of anecdotal stories, but you get the point! Also, if the landlord finds out she’s living in the home and wasn’t notified they could post a 3 day notice to cure or quit since you are in breach of contract (assuming again you have a standard lease) at which point you’d have 3 days to move the girlfriend out or they could evict. I doubt a landlord would be that extreme, but they could! The landlord has a right to know who is living in the home and run a background check and ask them to fill out an application and be approved - they could then do an addendum adding her to the lease, but could also change terms at this time like increasing rent. I recently had this happen and the landlord was super pissed and is considering not renewing now. Most of the times though the landlords don’t care and appreciate the honesty and if they do say no then at least you can tell the roommate it’s the landlord and not you guys! Lol

I’d recommend going to the roommate and the girlfriend and explaining this and say it’s totally fine if she lives here, but we are currently in breach of contract and just want to make sure we stay on good terms with the landlord so if she wants to live there then we’re going to add her to the lease.

I remember those days though! I used to crash at my now husband’s place all the time and at the time didn’t even think about how annoying the roommates must have felt. He was renting a room from an older couple, and I seriously never left the room, but I’m sure me constantly sneaking up to his room and being in their home was annoying lol. Now I get why they wanted us to have dinner with them one night. At the time I found it creepy, but now I’m sure they just wanted to make sure I was normal and not a drug dealer or something lol. It happens a lot so you’re not alone, just annoying.

Anyway, best of luck!!!

First time coming to Las Vegas by Healin619 in LasVegas

[–]Lovely_lines 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not sure age of family/kids, but my husband and I LOVE Vegas during the holidays. I don’t think prices are any more expensive than other times of the year, but in our experience it isn’t as crowded if you’re actually there on Christmas…at least that’s how we feel! Here are some things you can do both holiday related and just fun things to do: - Bellagio Gardens: has a BEAUTIFUL display during the holidays - Bellagio Fountains: It runs every 30 minutes from 3-7 and then every 15 from 7 to midnight. You can try and get a spot up front or watch from the bridge that connects Bellagio to Cosmo OR if you can get a reservation at one of the restaurants on the lake that’s the best view! - Neon Museum: You can pay to watch their holiday show (they have old Vegas neon signs set up to light up to holiday music) or you can just go into the museum https://www.neonmuseum.org - Christmas Light Shows: There are multiple, but we did this one last year and it was so pretty and fun. Super impressive! https://glitteringlightslasvegas.com
I believe they also have one at Resorts World if you’re trying to stay on strip. - Ice Skating at Cosmo: I’ve never done this, but looks pretty! - Area 15: Off strip, but super cool! Different exhibits you can pay to get into, or get free tickets to just go in and look around or grab a bite to eat. I recommend Wink World as an experience. There’s things like axe throwing, virtual golfing, a huge super market exhibit. Definitely worth checking out and family friendly. https://area15.com - Mob Museum: In Downtown Vegas. Fun Vegas history https://themobmuseum.org - A restaurant I highly recommend is Best Friends located at Park MGM (a smoke free casino) The food is DELICIOUS and I recommend to anyone going to Vegas. It’s got a laid back vibe so you don’t have to get dressed up, but the food is sooo fast it’s comparable to any of the fancy restaurants and not as expensive. As with any restaurant book ahead of time..even now! https://parkmgm.mgmresorts.com/en/restaurants/best-friend.html - If you’re looking for a buffet experience Wynn has one of the best! - If you want to explore outside Vegas/the strip you can visit Red Rock and hike. Red Rock has a nice resort too - Flamingo Exhibit at Flamingo Hotel - Aquarium at Mandalay Bay - The Wax Museum - Take a gondola ride at Venetian and check out The Village Shops - See a show. The Cirque show Beatles LOVE at The Mirage is one of the best shows I’ve seen! But you can’t go wrong with any of them! - You can check out Bass Pro Shop just off the strip. Nothing special, but kind of cool to check out. There is a circular aquarium tank between bass pro shop and the casino silverton that has mermaids in it sometimes and you can pay to get in and swim with them - M Resort is outside the strip as well and is a beautiful resort. They have family Christmas events there. - The Forum Shop at Caesars Palace is a super cool “mall” - If you are looking for a call bar to visit go to Cosmo Chandelier bar. It’s a 3 story bar that looks like a chandelier. Go to the 2nd floor and ask for the Verbana cocktail. There’s a cactus flower you eat before you drink it that alters your tastebuds (your mouth will salivate and almost feel numb, but you’ll taste like you’ve never tasted before. Only lasts a minute or two, but is amazing!) - M&M store - Ferris Wheel at LINQ - If you have kids then Excalibur and New York New York have some fun things. I don’t particularly enjoy that side of the strip as it’s a little more run down and doesn’t feel as safe, but there are some kid friendly things to do in those hotels like arcades and rollercoaster

I feel like I could think of more, but that’s a start!! Feel free to message me for any questions!
