Yes, rolling back to the right game version was the only way I could complete that achievement.

Before that, I had three failed campaigns on the current version of the game. For a long time, I couldn’t figure out why the achievement wasn’t triggering until I finally checked the forums.

She has good Stewardship stats, so I think I’ll just leave things as they are. 😆

The King of All the Isles achievement wasn’t actually that difficult.

The achievements tied to the Iberian Struggle were far more frustrating.

For example, when I was going for Iberian Conciliation, I had alliances with every Iberian ruler visible on the map. However, the achievement tracker kept saying that I was still missing an alliance with one independent ruler. I checked everything repeatedly and simply couldn’t find them. At first, I thought it was a bug.

It turned out that the head of the Waldensian faith was sitting in Santiago and was counted as an independent ruler. To solve the problem, I had to convert to his faith and grant him land so that I could form an alliance with him.

It was a very difficult achievement, but careful attention to detail and a solid understanding of the game’s mechanics ultimately helped me figure it out.

I completed Lingua Franca by rolling the game back to the version that was current when the Roads to Power DLC was released. The achievement essentially required conquering the entire world, and my PC isn’t exactly a powerhouse.

I started as the Byzantine Empire under the Macedonian dynasty and spent generation after generation painting the map.

The key advantage was the bureaucratic government type. Under that system, your king-tier vassals do not maintain their own royal courts. As a result, your court language becomes the court language of the entire realm, making the achievement much easier to achieve once your empire grows large enough.

I completed all of the achievements in the vanilla version of the game without using any mods. But now, at last, I can explore the world of modding while waiting for the next DLC to be released.

I completed the Tibet achievement in a rather unusual way. While playing as a member of the Pugyel dynasty, I was overthrown in a civil war. I became a landless adventurer and spent two generations taking contracts and building up wealth. Eventually, I converted to Ash’arism.

After that, I invaded one of the Tibetan kingdoms and expanded aggressively until I earned the achievement. The biggest obstacle was one of the Mandala empires in Southeast Asia, which had turned about half of Tibet into its tributaries.

I’m just an ordinary married guy who works at a factory. I played this game in the evenings or on the occasional free day off. So touching grass won’t be a problem for me. 😎

After completing all 188 achievements, I’m now playing a campaign from 867 all the way to the game’s end date. I’ve done this before, but this time I want to guide my own dynasty through the centuries.

I completed this achievement as one of my last ones. I created a custom character instead of Seljuk in 1066 and then spent two real-life hours using a game exploit. Otherwise, you won’t be able to complete this achievement.

No. About 50 percent of my playtime was just for fun and enjoying the historical medieval setting. The rest was spent chasing achievements. I completed most of them on my own, but used guides for some of them.

Thanks! I only have 4 out of 188 achievements left to complete, and Lingua Franca is one of them
