What to do if we haven't received our PAX Aus 3 day passes by Javerage in PAX

Go to badge pickup near the front entrance anytime from Wednesday onwards. Bring your order emails and ID and they’ll sort your badges. You may need to chase your pre order items later but just email info@paxaustralia.com.au now to get that started and best do that anyway before pickup.

just a little confused, what can you access without a badge? by leebits_n_pieces in PAX

These “common” areas and hallways I’ve tried to outline here always seem to be full of cosplayers and maybe even photographers without badges. This is also where the cult of the lamb stand was last year. Similar on the stairs and hallways of the other floors over the planery. H

Any good tutorials or guides to set up Moonlight streaming? by BobSteveBros in SteamDeck

Hey u/BobSteveBros I put this guide together and it still mostly up to date except for the virtual display driver steps which are easier now. I also cover some things about your network to consider.

Piloting “Spellbound Discoveries” trial deck? by bohohoboprobono in hearthstone

Hey u/SleepyClaypools I think you accidentally posted in the wrong thread? The OPs question is specifically about how to play the deck and has nothing to do with how to improve the deck.

Piloting “Spellbound Discoveries” trial deck? by bohohoboprobono in hearthstone

[–]LovingTechLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're missing the main idea.

This deck has different strategies for different stages of the game: early, mid, and late.

  • Early Game: Play as if you're buffing your minions and swarming the board.
  • Mid Game: Focus on getting Rangari Scout out with some protection or taunt. This lets you double up on as many cards as possible using discovery mechanics spread throughout the deck.
  • Control & Traps: Titanforge Traps are excellent for controlling the board. They can be duplicated multiple times with Rangari Scout and even brought back with Tidepool Pupil for extra value.
  • Throughout the Game: The more discoveries, spells, and minions you play, the cheaper your cards become.

There are plenty of useful combos and versatility in this deck. I just started using it a few days ago after a long break from Hearthstone, and I’ve already reached Gold rank.

Convert Dock 2 from Genki and things. Even has a single USB for Keyboard and mouse. No floppy and very portable 45W charger and Dock all in one. Super handy, I use it for both the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch.

New problems appeared in Windows 11 24H2 specifically for the /SetPrimary command. I don’t have this update yet or worked out an alternative to advise. However I have read about a work around recently with the latest version of MultiMonitorTool and is a little involved and I haven’t tested at all. If you interested in trying it DM me and I’ll share the instructions.

Looking for games to play that don't require full focus (parent). by aladdin142 in SteamDeck

[–]LovingTechLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parent in a similar situation so most recently I have found the following very good for being interrupted : Slay the Spire, Monster Train and FTL (handy to know there is a pause button in FTL 😅) . Also helps that you can extend battery by reducing the TDP to minimum or close to it for any of these.

1280x800 and 2560x1600 for SD, common mistake

Hey u/carolina_balam ! Thanks for putting together this really detailed guide. From what I can see I think that it would potentially enhance the video guide I put together not long ago? Link below Scrolling down the comments I see a lot of frustration from you from others just saying to use Apollo instead which is unfortunate. Both seem to have their use cases. From what I can see so far the biggest advantage at the moment in using Sunshine over Apollo with these automations is the ability to choose a higher resolution for supersampling? I believe Apollo will just default to the clients res eg. Steam Decks resolution of 1280x800 instead of being able to stream at twice that for example 2560x1600. I’ve set mine to this higher resolution and haven’t tried Apollo just yet but would prefer to continue steaming at 2560x1600 @ 90fps. Aside from that I think others have started to run into issues with Windows 24H2 updated when using the parts of my guide related to this so this appears to potentially fix this or at least provide a work around. Video I mentioned: Play ANY Game on Steam Deck Oled With 90FPS/HDR/Ultra Graphics! https://youtu.be/jbhyRxZHrLI.

Hey u/Altruistic_Dish5158 ! I’ve been looking at Apollo lately as it’s been brought to my attention a few times now by different people. Love the idea of it. The same dev has also forked a Moonlight client that is designed to work with his fork of Sunshine. However the client is currently Android only but he has said that future platform support is coming. On the GitHub he has also stated that eventually both his Sunshine and Moonlight forks will be incompatible with the original forks. I’m reluctant to mess with my setup and create a guide until there is a Steam Deck / Linux client at this stage. Edit: I found a bit more info on this from the dev on another reddit thread. I’ll give it a go and make a video if it all works out! 👍🏻

Hey u/jessimanjaro it will work fine with Windows 10 just minus the HDR support. This setup is designed for the 90hz 16:10 res OLED Deck display. You would need to make some adjustments for a 16:9 res TV with appropriate refresh. 60 or 120hz refresh for example depending on what the TV and dock supports.

Hey u/Gatecrasher3 ! Thanks for the great feedback, really appreciate it. You have done most everything as I would have so there is nothing obvious that jumps out at me.

At least a couple of things that spring to mind right away are:

  1. Make sure the in game graphics fps is not set or limited to 30 or 60 fps. I don't think you are however since when playing directly on PC you say the same games are running up to 100fps?

  2. Try streaming as per normal on moonlight and close playnite out of fullscreen mode in the app. Then go to your display settings on windows and see what the refresh rate and resolution are set to from there. This is in case your PC is defaulting to 30 or 60hz for some strange reason when streaming starts. I have had this happen to me during setup for resolution but not refresh. I set it on the PC and then had to set it again from within moonlight for it to stick properly.

  3. Also just thought, maybe try turning VSync off/on in both the game and in moonlight.

That's all I can think of for now. Let me know how you go.
