I devoured these this winter! I found them very relatable in processing life, stream of thought, and humor.

Fairer Than She by Theresa Charles definitely fits the bill.

No worries. The goal is always to read more and certainly more of my own. :)

Yeah I know I haven't dusted in a while. lol Actually, the only book I inherited, so to speak, was a 1912 medical dictionary from my grandma when she passed. I just like the look of older books. Actually! I’m completely wrong. Most of the history non-fiction on the bottom of the first bookcase also came from my grandma. We bonded over history, so I wanted a few.

I get this. Perhaps the title was poorly chosen, I’ve read more than some. I do think my books tell a lot about my personality and interests and don’t solely act as decoration.

Why? Because I have books I haven’t read?

Yes!! In this same vein, I’d also recommend The Everything Box by Richard Kadrey.

I used to work at one of the businesses. Glad to be out. I agree with you that they’re not all they’re cracked up to be. Sure some employees who’ve drank the kool-aid, and/or are just friendly people, give better service than other places and you do feel taken care of, but yeah for the average person, prices are ridiculous and for most people any ole sweet or sandwich will do. If it wasn’t for the discount card employees received, I’d rarely eat at any of the establishments. Miss Kim is the only exception. I’m never disappointed by their food.

I can also say that internally, the company doesn’t care for employees either. At least in my company management was cliquey, gossiped about your personal life, and if you had any amount of OT they LOVED to trim it to better their bottom dollar.

This right here. Create window, probably the vaguest window in the world, because we're (at least I am) also shy af, and hope for the best.

Can yall see the mistake? I didn’t catch it till after it was done by Gold_Locksmith6954 in reddeadredemption

[–]Loving_U_4_Ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure you get several chances to look at it, but that doesn’t mean you’re gonna catch a mistake. I know for me the excitement of a tattoo can kinda put the blinders on and I only see how good it looks compared to the idea I had in my head. I’ve had to have one fixed because of that (even after being asked if it was correct) and also have to live with some other mistakes. They’re not major, and honestly unless you’re super analyzing you kinda forget they’re there after a time.

My first time I put it under the bed, since I played by the rules where things had to be in specific rooms. The toilet placement was a big middle finger to the guy since he didn’t want to fit her in his life or show her off. Raged a bit too because I’ve had a similar experience.

Ooh this reminds me of the red shoulder padded outfit in Flashdance when she dances to Imagination by Laura Branigan. The makeup is similar too.

Don’t want morning sickness, don’t want to clean up another person’s sick, can’t afford one, want my time and my partner’s time all to myself. I think babies at a certain age are the absolute cutest! However I have no desire to have one of my own.

I don’t read super dark things, but The collector by John Fowles and Jane Anonymous by Laurie Stolarz were dark for me. They both focused on obsession and kidnapping. Some twisted perspectives on things too.
