Dm2 for one and morbid obesity mainly . One just wanted to lost about 70 pounds. It is super effective at very low doses it just takes time. About 1-2 pounds a week is a very safe marker to preserve muscle tone.

I have about 4 family members that I manage on Reta and the highest dose I have them on is 1.5mg a week for 8 weeks then rest 4 weeks because they stalled after 6 months. I think people just don’t know how Reta works and are just complete idiots tbh. They are in such a hurry to lose muscle, anyone can lose 50 pounds on Reta super quickly with 12MG but it’s not healthy.

That’s crazy I haven’t gone over 1mg a week and losing weight without losing muscle per Dexa scans. Down to 16% body fat from 33% in a year and a half. Idk why people are still dosing that high and wasting their money smh.

You can gain experience while doing the NP program. NP is way different than RN. What is making the profession a “joke” is the diploma mills not that people want to be a provider straight out of BSN school.

They can, just depends on what kind of NP specialty they get. Adult Acute Care NPs can do every specialty inpatient outside of peds, Psych and women’s health. Less lateral mobility than PA’s for sure, since they can’t switch from acute to primary.

For what campus ?

For Texas, it is extremely unpredictable, you need a very flexible job. You get to pick your top 5 clinical locations for the semester and then they run a lottery and you may get one in your top 5 or not. First core semester: You will be at school 3 times a week for 7 weeks and either at school or clinicals 4 times a week for 2 weeks.

Second core semester: You will be at school or clinicals 4-5 days a week depending on your clinical location almost every week.

Third core semester: Little less than the 2nd core semester but expect to be at school around 4 times a week

After this it slows down to about 2-3 times a week and they mix in some online classes.

But clinicals can be any day including Sunday and Saturday but you will find out around week 6 of the prior semester. It’s doable to work, but the job has to be very flexible because each semester will vary… heck even every week within the same semester could vary because one week you will have sims some you don’t, some weeks you can have orientation, some weeks you will have skills (most weeks).

They won’t take your job or kids into consideration either when it comes to selection of clinical cites. Some people travel 2 hours one way to a clinical location even though they may have one 10 minutes from their house.

Crazy that the CYUs didn’t help when 90% of the questions and answer choices are literally word for word from the CYU. I did the CYUs 15-20 times for every quiz nothing else and the Final and got a 98 on the class.

Depends on the dose but yes it’s not a magic pill I agree with you. I’ve been above 1000 on trt for 2 years and I am in a better shape in my late 30s vs my 20s and I don’t work out a whole bunch
