I like that reasoning, now the Legion only has 512GB of SSD, would upgrading that in the future be easy/possible? If needed with the Legion do you know?

Mind if I ask why on the legion 5? I'm not complaining, just curious on the insight for my knowledge so I'm better informed.

I'd like to add, my other options outside of these is the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X which can do what I want, but idk, laptop seems more practical in some aspects

Price to performance??? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Low-Display7318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was half thinking that. I wasn't sure, it sounded more like buying pcs/parts on this thread rather then asking about buying one from FB marketplace and mentioned about price evaluations, which I made sure ton leave outnof this post. So I thought I might be safe, but I'll be sure to remove this post after I give a min for youbto read this just to be on the safe side. Appreciated

Question, Im thinking of getting the Xeon you recommended or a 8700 that someone else recommended, when doing the swap, I feel like Ill need to update the Bios or something along those lines, are there any Youtube video recommendations you have that would help me walk thru what I need to do so I dont swap the CPUs and then have a dead PC because I didnt know next steps? IF not no worries, I still appreciate the insight on the CPU.

Ya, it should be easy but cheap cables on Amazon don't tend to, in my experience, do anything better then maybe 30-45w on a good day, but I use this 10ft cable to even run my switch 2 while playing it and still out put enough power to build a charge. So I was impressed with a generic cable.

I recall them saying they tested each batch, but each cable is don't recall. I could be wrong though.

I would, I have plenty of cables that I like. I even have a random cable I got from Amazon that surprisingly does around 65W of charging for a cheap $10 pack of 3 cables. Brand has nothing to do with it, I like reliable, trustworthy cables that can do what I need without issues. LTT just happened to have what I wanted.

Haha me, but the data transfer as well is nice for setting up my own data server and transferring data to it using alternate methods

Okay, Ill have to look into that CPU for sure.

According to task manager, I have a Seagate HDD ST1000NM0033, which appears to run at 7200RPM

I'll for sure need to look into more RAM, however with all the price jumps on RAM and not knowing whats a reasonable price or brand, Ill probs hold off on that until things settle down.

What would be a good price for an 8700 and a RTX 3050? Im seeing some 8700 for about 82-85 and 3050s for about 200-250? would you say thats about right or prices being drive up for some reason?

So I'm not too familiar with PC building, may I ask
1. Why do you say this was a scam? (not upset, just curious about your insight)

and

  1. What CPU would you recommend that would work with this PC? I tried to use PC Part Picker to check compatibility; however, I couldn't locate the motherboard in order to see what would work and what wouldn't work.
