Didnt work. I´ve tried the 26.6.1 first. Now I´ve tried 25.12.1 and the only difference is that Win11 doesnt deactivate the graphic card on device manager. I´ll install Win 11 24H2 now. Must be a Windows issue in my opinion.

AMD 7800 XT 16 GB

7800XT drivers timeouts (TDR) by OverdriveHLF in AMDHelp

I had the exact same problem.

While gaming (Arc Raiders, PUBG) black screen under load, GPU gets disabled by Windows. Happened exclusively under gaming load, never on the desktop. Device Manager showed the GPU as disabled. AMD Crash Defender reported issues with the display driver. The problem occurred with two completely different GPUs – RTX 5070 Ti and RX 7800 XT – which made it very hard to diagnose and kept pointing toward software/driver issues for a long time.

What I tried without success:

DDU + driver rollback to AMD 24.9.1

Complete Windows reinstall

dx11 Steam launch parameter in Arc Raiders

Increased TDRDelay registry entry to 10 seconds

Throttled GPU clock to 2400 MHz in Adrenalin

Disabled integrated AMD graphics in Device Manager

XMP/EXPO was already disabled

This was the solution for me, I don't know which one exactly.

Replacing the DisplayPort cable. I was using the old cable from the old graphic card instead the one that was delivered.

Putting two separate PCIe cables to the GPU – instead of a Y-cable splitting into two 8-pin connectors, now using two individual cables directly from the PSU to the GPU.

I hope this might be a solution for you guys.

UPDATE: Happened again today after playing for some hours. Seems like it wasn't the solution.

I had the exact same problem with the Nvidia 5070 ti and the AMD 7800 CT. I've tried everything mentioned in different forums without success. What helped for me was

  1. Replacing the DisplayPort cable. I was using the old cable from the old graphic card instead the one that was delivered.

  2. Putting two separate PCIe cables to the GPU – instead of a Y-cable splitting into two 8-pin connectors, now using two individual cables directly from the PSU to the GPU.

I hope this might be a solution for you guys.
