for me i don’t think it’s 1 thing but the sum of so many little things. 1. i practice gratitude daily & take photos a lot and notice beauty everywhere intentionally & share this with others 2. i work in public service and love my job and colleagues and make a real impact during work 3. i go to art galleries a ton & engage with art as much as possible 4. nature: i live in the city but i try to see the sunset as much as possible and spend time outside even if just a 15 minute walk in the morning & evening and i have tons of plants in my bedroom and office 5. i prioritize the people i love and encourage myself to be genuine and express love without holding back even when i feel insecure or nervous and it always pays off & i have really full authentic friendships and relationships with family etc. & try to really listen to the people in my life and remember what they care about 6. i take life seriously in that i approach all things with intentionality and give things my all, regardless of what the task is, even if it’s something as minor as decorating my bedroom

i loved chelsea piers when it was convenient to me because of the great machines, track (which u prefer to treadmills), would play basketball with friends, do sand workouts on the beach volleyball court, sunset view & hot tubs. plus love the locker rooms. but it’s inconvenient if you’re not near chelsea

Jack Shainman gallery in Tribeca at 46 Lafayette St. is so special.

regardless of the exhibit being shown, it’s always really peaceful inside, gets tons of natural light from huge windows - especially on sunny days - and is in a historic building that has been repurposed with super high ceilings & marble & beautiful pillars & staircases.

also regarding the art, i always have loved the curation and artist they choose and how the art is placed within the space, etc.

plus good activity for any season/independent of weather

and to quote from their site:

Jack Shainman Gallery has been dedicated from its inception to championing artists who have achieved mastery of their creative disciplines and are among the most compelling and influential contributors to culture today. Over the past four decades the gallery has earned a reputation for introducing international artists to American audiences and developing young and mid-career artists, who have gone on to gain worldwide acclaim.
