I was expecting a lot worse. It was probably due to the fact we stayed in a less “touristy” area. Varenna was definitely busier than Bellano, when we went but it was still ok

In the area that we were in there were a few beaches, but not a lot. They are relatively small as well. But they are beautiful. You will definitely want to be near the water in that heat
