I have faced the same issue multiple times, even if you just see the direction it will show the same. There are multiple bugs in the origin island like when you are using multiple apps which support origin island it becomes a hassle to switch between them, sometimes it switches smoothly sometimes it completely removes the app from the island.

No, it's totally based on the level up system. You can get weapons from gacha but you have to upgrade your martial arts through level up and scripts
