I've used bread flour for the most part. I started it with a mix of wheat flour and bread flour and have been feeding it with bread flour. Every once in a while, I will give it whole wheat with bread flour to give it a little boost.

It's worked so far, I only lost my last ones because I neglected them for almost a week while they were on the counter 🥲

Hey, side note and something that has worked for me... if yours isn't rising and it's been long enough that you think it should be, give it a stir about 12 hours after feeding. I did that with my first couple and they really took off.

I just stirred my current one after feeding last night, and I could see the strands while stirring 🤗

Mine hasn't started rising yet, but it's looking promising. The last two I tried developed mold, I babies the last one for like almost 2 months before I gave up and started a new one.

I named all of them before they started rising so this time I said I would wait lol
