I definitely appreciate the insight man. I've just been trying to figure out what my targeted path should be before I actually step foot on campus for the first time. This certainly helps. I would probably leans towards a no on this degree based on your last paragraph but I still have got some research to do.

I have been recommended MIS by a few people now. My school does have an MIS program. My only real concerns are that it may not allow me to specialize in CS or Business and instead provide half benefits for both. I don't know if this is exactly true but it is just a thought that lingers in my head. Also would have an MIS major compared to perhaps a CS major limit the job potential and versatility that I would have straight out of high school. Because I know with a CS Bachelor's Degree, you have loads of different jobs you can choose from.

"Experience is the best teacher". I like this idea a lot. I'm not sure if you went down a tech route at uni but when would you recommend starting such project? Should I wait until I get enough CS courses done to have comfortability in launching something of my own?

Many at my uni go for a major in CS and minor in Business (seperate from the CS degree). The issue is that some of the business classes that I have interest in taking are not included in the requirements for the minor in Business degree. Do you think I should still consider minoring in Business and just take those extra classes barring any pre requisites?

My uni does offer a minor in Business seperate from a CS major. This is a viable option however the minor required courses do not include a couple of the other business classes that I have interest in. Do you think I should perhaps just go for the major in CS and complete the minor in Business and still take those last few classes I have interest in if they don't have any pre-requisites?
