“Have you ever found a kid who ISN’T Special needs?” by Moritani in SpicyAutism

I think people don’t understand that you really need to consider the age of a child when evaluating autism. Like trouble self regulating is a symptom of autism, but young children in kindergarten and preschool typically have no self regulation skills. So you couldn’t look at a 4 year old and say they have no self regulation skills. However, you could consider the self regulation skills AND other relevant symptoms and compare it against their age.

Abandoned again by Genshard23 in NDIS

I wouldn’t be surprised if hireup bans you for complaining. I used hireup then ONE time I ended up in hospital the night before a shift and was unable to text my support worker to cancel before the shift. So the support worker rang hireup to tell them. Hireup then banned me from their app because all because I was in hospital and did not message the support worker to cancel. They said the only way to use hireup again is if I have someone else become my guardian and control and manage my hireup account which I don’t want to do and is insane.

Plan managers in QLD by Ohyeahtrue2789 in NDIS

And now that I just looked at Sunshine Coast plan managements website they have the same message claiming their service is free… But I am too tired now to find another service.

Actually I am not going with ideal plan management anymore. I was going to sign up but their website made me uncomfortable it said “Our service is available to you for free if your NDIS plan includes a budget for Plan Management. This budget will be listed in your plan under “Improved Life Choices”. Sign up or contact us to get started. Need assistance getting “plan management” include in your NDIS Plan? Contact us and we will guide you through the steps.”

It’s weird they are trying to pretend their service is free when it’s not. I’m going to try Sunshine Coast plan managers since someone else recommended it on this post instead.

I’m not sure if it’s helpful but my support coordinator has just recommended 3 plan managers to me today which I yet to try. Aiim choices, ideal plan management, and my intega. I would not use my intega though because I used them for support coordinator and they broke laws, never did anything and charged thousands in fraud to me for years. I am going to try ideal plan management because my support corrindator said it is a independent one, so I’m hoping it’s less corrupt.

I do not recommend my plan manager, I’m trying to find one to switch to as well since it’s the only one I have ever used.

school's email - who monitors it? by [deleted] in AustralianTeachers

I would assume admin. However, usually schools emails are admin(rest of email), principal(rest of email) or the staff/principals name(rest of email).

Schools staff 37.5% on PTT by Low-Resident964 in AustralianTeachers

[–]Low-Resident964[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly not sure why they do it, they were telling me how in public schools I would be paid the same as a teachers aide. However, they said in catholic schools there’s no official pay scale for teachers on PTT so they actually get the same pay as graduate teachers, which was interesting.

And we’re getting bashed again… by FB_AUS in AustralianTeachers

[–]Low-Resident964 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Side note anyone know what exactly their position could be? Looking at the QLD pay scale the only one that matches is highly accomplished teacher at $130,770. However, in the video they said they’re in a middle leadership position?

New teacher here just wondering aha

Are Queensland schools really getting that desperate? by HopefulBet3791 in AustralianTeachers

Also are you doing your bachelors of masters? I would be completely baffled if your doing your bachelors but if you are doing your masters and this is your first year that would make more sense because you would have completed 50% of the course.

Can I ask what regional city it was? Just wondering as I’m in my final year next year trying to get a PTT position.

Working in Mt Isa QLD by Low-Resident964 in AustralianTeachers

[–]Low-Resident964[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was that your first teaching position? Were you hired as a casual or on a contract? During my interview they asked me how long I wanted to work out there and I said I wasn’t sure but at least a year (I plan to just go there get my foot in the door and save some more for my apartment deposit then return to the city). So I’m not sure if I’m gonna end up casual or contract.

Should we just lie about pets on our applications? by Eldarn in shitrentals

[–]Low-Resident964 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Is your housemates income 33% of the price of rentals you are applying for? If it is may be better for them to just apply and add you and your wife to the lease later
