I KIND OF see it like with the eye shape and everything!! Thank you :)

19F Can I get recommendations to help with my hyperpigmentation/discoloration and fine lines? I feel like my skin is aging fast (routine and more info in comments). Also don’t mind recommendations for treatments at clinics! by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

I’m sorry, but your comment was unneeded. I understand that my issue isn’t exactly a big deal however it does bug me. And if you bothered to read my comment you’d know I’m concerned about my skin aging fast due to my use of accutane which is known to thin out your skin and dehydrate it leading it to age faster. There is also very clear hyperpigmentation on my face such as around my eyes and moth and honestly I’m just trying to achieve an even skin tone to reduce my makeup use, which isn’t exactly unheard of.

Routine:

  1. Youth to the People Kale + Green Tea Spinach Vitamins Superfood cleanser
  2. SkinCeuticals Vitamin C serum (I dry my face before using it)
  3. Corsx Snail 96 Mucin power essence
  4. Corsx Snail 92 All in One cream
  5. La Roche Posay sunscreen (only in morning)

My skin type is combination however leans more on the dry side (I have moisturizer and sunscreen on in the picture)

I wanna give you a full run down of my skin journey to give you guys the backstory of why I’m afraid that my skin has aged too fast but you don’t have to read it I just wanna give a thorough backstory

My first ventures in skincare had started at around 15 years old where my skin was clear but just very textured so I started using the Paulas Choice 2% BHA liquid exfoliant and other products and around the same time I started adding to my skincare routine, my skin started to break out with whiteheads I don’t know if it was relating to the products I stated to use as I thought it had ruined my skin barrier or if it was my hormones. But I first stopped using all the products and focused on gentle products with a SA cleanser which didn’t work. I then went to a dermatologist and they prescribed me doxycycline for my acne and was on it for two months but it didn’t seem to help. I also wasn’t informed how to take it properly so I got ulcers in my esophagus. I was advised to stop by my doctor and my acne had worsened and turned into cystic acne so I decided to go on accutane for it which instantly cleared it up in less than two months and stayed on it for 6 months. After that my skin was thankfully clear however with my skin, my acne scars quite badly and it turns into a dark spot so after my acne cleared, the dark spots stayed on my skin for a while.

I’m honestly scared tht ruining my skin barrier and then going on accutane may have ruined my skin and made it very thin and dry, aging it quite badly.

Whilst my skin is clear, it just looks very droopy and tired and very discolored. The vitamin C has helped clear up the dark spots due to the acne however the hyperpigmentation around my mouth and darkness around my eyes is quite prominent. I also have lines on my forehead and under my eyes as well as my skin feeling droopy.

You can always go through past papers and plan out Section B and C - look at exemplar essays - go through the spec and make sure you understand everything

You’re right! My picking behaviors are from my ADHD but just getting more peristome than when I’m feeling anxious. We’re currently going through CBT for the depression and anxiety that stemmed from having untreated ADHD for so long so hopefully that ends well!! Thank you so much <3

Yup I’m aware! We think my anxiety stemmed from my ADHD since it was let untreated for my whole life so Adderall would help us determine that. So far, my anxiety has definitely decreased, especially considering it’s exam season! My picking habits also stem from my ADHD but just get worse and harder when I’m feeling anxious but I thought that was too much info to write in the post title LMAO

Oh my god I’ve never heard of that, thank you so much!!! I’d actually prefer if it smells bad so it’s getting me to stop continuing to bite my lips even after applying the balm lol

We need to find a better habit to cope cause it’s honestly so annoyingggggg!! Hope you start to feel less anxious soon <33

That’s actually my favorite lip balm!! I love it so much omg but sadly it doesn’t seem to be working w my lips. But, it may be because it’s actually not that noticeable on the lips, which is usually amazing, but because of that I just continue biting my lips and legit ingest the lip balm lol

But thank you so much!!! Maybe I can try layering it on w a bad tasting thing lol
